Default Picture stuttering on HD

I have noticed at times while watching HD channels the picture stutters. I have three hd set tops and they all do it. Shaw resets the boxes and they work for awhile. Anyone else?

I know it's been mentioned here before so try a search for that problem on these forums.

I've seen it a few times myself and usually simply changing channels away from and HD one, and back, seems to fix it. It might be something about the buffer filling up.

Also, I recall mention of going into the menu and switching the output to 480p for a moment then back to 720 (or 1080) to solve the problem if it persists. You should find that info via the search.

If the stutter only occurs occasionally, it may be part of the original signal - I refer to this as judder, instead of stutter, especially when the image is panning. If it happens during static scenes, then that's a different story. See the following thread on Motorola STBs, how to set up, how to check signal, etc.
