My TV is a Samsung LN-S4092D when plugged into the 8300hd via HDMI cable, I can no longer control the volume through the Rogers' remote, the bar graph will move but the volume stays the same.
I can still control volume with my Samsung TV remote. Everything works fine with the component cable, however I would like to hook up an Xbox360 to my TV with a component cable, but the TV only has one "component outlet". It is a real pain to constantly change component cables. Any Ideas? |

The SA8300HD doesn't control the volume on digital ouputs. It acts as though it's set to "fixed".
Use the 8300HD remote to control the TV's volume - easy to programme (start with the last TV code and work backwards until you find the one that works) See the operating manual for the 8300HD remote. see also the Digital Home FAQs (under help) - Tips for SA STB - What you need to do to your new HDTV - Etc. Please put you location and service provider into your UserCP Profile (location). It'll help us help you. I've moved your post into the appropriate forum
