Default Purchased Rogers 8300HD - How to I get new firmware?

Okay, talk about (bad) timing.
Just bought a Rogers 8300HD at Best Buy today. Price is good.
Come home, and see that my rental unit has new functions.
Checked the forum, and sure enough, got the Firmware upgrade.

So the question is, will the new one I just bought have the upgrade?
Is there anyway to check, short of plugging it in?

And if it doesn't have the upgrade, how will I get it pushed to my new box?

thanks,

Dave

Yes, as soon as you have the STB activated and authorized by Rogers, it should begin to automatically download and install the latest firmware, since you live in an area that has already had the firmware push.
