Yes, $25 -- $40 is a bit of a ridiculous mark-up. What other options do we have though?

for those looking I just bought one today as well at Future Shop Richmond Hill. They had about 7 more left. They are $39.99.

I agree with others sentiments. The controller is beautiful and makes the PS3 feel complete (as a movie player at least).

A (dumb) question about buying the remote at futureshop, where are you guys finding it in the stores? I've looked at 3 different future shops here in winnipeg and there's none in the PS3 accessories section, nor on the website. There's not even a place where it would have been (but is now sold out). Is it in with dvd players or universal remotes? I haven't seen it anywhere here in winnipeg.

The downtown Future Shop (Yonge and Elm just north of Dundas) has them in stock.

I'm wondering why a thread about a remote only useful for A/V uses wouldn't be in the BD player section?

Future Shop has them up on their web site now this morning. Unfortunately, it also has a release date of Jan. 30 (and $2.99 shipping), so they seem to be behind the B&M stores.

Finally FS has Bluetooth remotes for PS3 as a pre-sale (estimated jan 30th arrivals) on the web site today. Much cheaper than ebay from the states. Some sellers were asking up to 30$ just for shipping to Canada and the average price was >28US$ up to 42US$ yesterday
