At these sizes, what I love the most is the fact that it will seriously push down the price of 500 GB drives and that just makes me giddy like a school girl.
I can just hear my DVDs being ripped to online storage now... |

Can't beat Seagate 320GIG SATA300 16meg buffer 5 year warranty for 109$ regular price (not online, regular walk in store so no shipping).

Can you image a 4 drive 3TB Raid 5 server!
I currently running 2.7 TB using 15 hard drives. 11 x 200g + 1 x 300g JBOD for movies 2 x 160g mirror for personal data 1 x 80g for OS and Music Replace all that with just 4 drives .... amazing |

That's amazing and frightening all at the same time.
I mean what else could back up 1TB of space other than another 1TB drive? You're looking at making RAID standard in consumer level PC's with drives at that size NefCanuck |
