Watched Apocolypto last night. I really enjoyed this movie. It was quite different from any other movie I have ever seen and my wife found it too brutal but for me it was well worth the 2 hours and the rental fee. PQ and AQ were both really good as well.
I just bought Black Snake Moan but have not watched it yet. I also picked up Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series. We have only watched 2 or 3 episodes from it so far but the whole family really enjoys this and the PQ is great. |

Watched King Arthur's Director's Cut yesterday. Compared to the SD version the PQ does stand out more although it's no PoTC... Still very good though.
Good movie too... If you're into that sort of stuff. |

I just watched "Bruce Springsteen With the Sessions Band:Live in Dublin" on Blu-Ray and I'm afraid it was a disapointment.
The PQ was poor, DVD qual at best. The audio was OK but hurt by the overall concert setting which had the stage crowded with performers all singing and playing at once. The effect was a kind of muddying of the sound. Bruce moved to the front once in a while where unfortunately he showed every one of his advancing years in both appearance and voice. This would likely still be worthwhile for a firm Springsteen fan but for me, I quit halfway through. |

Watched Eight Below last night... it's one of my wife's fav movies.
The dog liked it too... I guess the PQ is good as she charged the tv twice to run with the other dogs. |

Well I just finished watching 300. I had never seen this movie before tonight but I must say it is a very unique and interesting film. I really enjoyed it and am glad I bought it vs rented it. I think I will be watching it many more times.
I hope I didn't wake up the neighbors but I had it cranked! |

Tonight it was The Guardian. A pretty good movie - kind of Top Gun in the water.

It's probably been 2 or 3 months since I've watched a BD movie.

Watched Reign of Fire over the weekend. Pretty good PQ, although the CGI on the bull dragon was apparent in some scenes. Its a fun popcorn flick that the family and I enjoy.
I have to say BV does an excellent job with their BD transfers. |

Are we supposed to congratulate you or something?
I just got "Happily N'Ever After" and "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" on BD from zip. I'll check them out this W/E along with 300 that I just bought... |

Last night it was The Transporter. I really enjoyed this movie. The PQ and AQ were top notch and there was lots of non-stop action. I ordered the 2nd one as one of my free 5 so now I'm anxious to get it and watch. People in the US seem to already be getting their free 5 so maybe we'll be getting them soon here in Canada too.
I also watched TMNT. The PQ is amazing in this one. The story is so-so but I didn't expect much going in. |

darrylr, the Transporter 2 IMHO was a terrible movie. I loved the first one, and therefore, saw the 2nd one in the theatres when it was originally released, but man was it terrible! So far fetched and out there that made it crap. If you've already seen it and enjoyed it, well that's a diff story.
