Athena WS-100 & WS-60 Good system?
Please help me decide on some speakers! I've been looking around and these have caught my eye, the Athena WS-100 & WS-60
The system would be:
Fronts: Athena WS-100
Sub: Polk PSW10 (have already)
Amp: Old Technics SA-DX940 (100wx5)
Room: small square shaped living room area
Anyone have these/know about them? I have found some reviews that look good:
They are advertised at FS for $180 WS-60 and $350 for WS-100. Could hopefully deal down to $500 or less... does that sound like a good deal?
I was also looking at the athena AS-F2.2 at FS for $250, or the F1.2 for $200... couldn't find any yet though, are those better?
Thanks for any help, I haven't looked at speakers in 10 years after buying the Nuance I have now.
Epson EX71, Tosh HD-A2, Denon AVR590, Athena P4100, Infinity P362,C250,P162. RCA L42WD22, Pio VSX1016, Athena LS50

I love my Athena F2s. They're the first speakers I have ever owned, and they sound great. They have phenomenal bass extension, but their upper range can be just a tad on the harsh side. But I still love 'em, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Not to mention they're pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of other speakers.
Haven't heard the WS line, so can't comment on those, sorry. Have fun auditioning, though!
