Hello!
I recently bought the LA32A550 for a true hdtv exprience.. i'm connecting my PC (pretty high-end, video card is GTX 285), with DVI to HDMI cables. the problem is that when im trying to play HD movies (bluray and HD-DVD's) im getting lousy playback with stutterings... anybody knows what's the problem? is the TV not good enough??? thank's in advance! |

It is most likely a software problem. You did not tell us which software player you are using. Often there is a problem with the software correctly using the nVidia PureVideo hardware acceleration. I would try disabling HW acceleration first. If possible, dowload a trial version of a different BD player.
On the off chance it is your BD player, check for a firmware update. I might also download an HD video to bypass your player. And, of course, update your BIOS. Good Luck! |

I have a Dell Laptop which has a vga out port and 3 usb 2.0 ports. I have a 2 year old panasonic 50 inch plasma tv. I would like to get my laptop video to display on my tv.
The tv has no vga in port. It has a boatload of component, composite, s-video inputs and 2 hdmi inputs that I can use. I would like to get something that either can convert the vga signal to hdmi(or component) or usb to hdmi( or component). I did find something on monoprice that goes from usb to hdmi and its about $50 US + shipping. It uses the usb port for power and I think I can use the headset port to output sound to the device. There is duty on price of it and that is an unknown on how much that could be. This may be the route I take. Looking for suggestions. Also wanting to do this inexpensively. Thanks |

USB will not work since it's not a video output. You could consider a VGA to HDMI or Component Video Transcoder.
