I was a Rogers customer for four years in London, ON before switching to Bell(last 3.5yrs). I was very disapointed with their service. First off, the techs that installed the line never buried it deep enough, and as a consequence, the landscaping guys used to cut it every summer(lived in a condo). When this happened, we were without cable for a number of days(the longest delay was a week!). When they hooked our phone up through this cable it became worse! After numerous incidences, price increases, and poor service, I finally had enough, and switched to Bell. I have never looked back, and am happy with the service I am getting with Bell.

Been a cable customer since January. I have the VIP package Installer was excellent, and I'm quite happy with the selection of channels and the price is ok. I like cable much more than satellite which I had had for a few years. On demand stuff is great, and no worrying about snow on my dish and something nailed to my roof. I love the PVR, 8642, I just wish I could have it completely hide channels I don't have.

Had VIP package. Gave Rogers lots of money, nothing but problems with PVRs and service. As I said before...

I just recently made the switch from Rogers to Shaw. Love the Shaw customer sevice, Rogers reps could never "do anything for me". The PVR (630) is also the cats miow and seems to be working great for me so far.

Best decision I made was leaving Rogers.

I was a Rogers customer from 1977 until 2010. I had cable TV, home phone (taken over from Sprint) and since 2007 cable internet. The service was reasonably reliable, and I usually managed to get through to Customer Service if needed. I had two reasons for leaving -the constant price hikes, and the lowering of the internet cap from 60Gb down to only 2Gb on the UltraLite tier making it completely unusable for me. I had been grandfathered at 60Gb for awhile, but that eventually went too. So I switched to TekSavvy for my internet, and got a faster speed and a much higher cap for about the same price, although I had to buy my own modem. For TV, as I am in a good location for this, I decided to go OTA. I get 23 reliable channels with a small indoor antenna, many of them in much higher quality HD than what Rogers offers, and a few more channels that are dependent on time of day, weather and season. The cost was less than one months cable bill. The only way I would ever go back to Rogers is if they offered to sell individual channels, with no pre-set packages. I would be interested in maybe five or six of the specialty channels to complement my OTA set up. For the home phone, I also switched this to TekSavvy (their POTS service, not the newer VOIP one). I saved $15.00 per month and have exactly the same options. Bottom line - Rogers has a reasonably good service, but they need to be more competitive with regards to pricing, and maybe more flexible in their offerings as well.

I became a Maclean Hunter customer in 1977, and all was well until Rogers took over our area. They soon rerouted the cable to an area that was more vulnerable to damage (see joebloggs post above). Calling them up to throw a temporary line up into the trees has nearly become an annual event. I'm starting to plan my OTA setup and I'll make the switch when they shut down the analogs.
