Default Number of Rings before answering machine picks up with Bell?

I have standard Bell Telephone Service with voice mail. How do you change the number of rings before the machine picks up. Its currently set to 3 and we miss every other call.

Thanks

Who "set" the number of rings? Mine is set to four but I don't remember if I set it or Bell.

Check the front of your phone book. It is there. I can't remember if you dial the voice mail box or key in a * number.

*94 then wait for two beeps. press the number on the keypad that corrosponds to the number of rings you want the call answer service to pick up i.e. 5 rings press 5. then hang up.

remember that callers hear one more ring than you do. so if you choose 4 rings, the caller will hear 5 rings.

nem, who knows call answer fairly well
