We have this one at home, its similar to the Tassimo. We picked it up for less than $100 on ebay and we buy all our coffee/tea on ebay as well. I love it because I drink coffee and my wife drinks tea so we can both have a cup of what we want without making and wasting a whole pot. Plus the instant brew is really nice, fresh coffee/tea whenever you want. I know Timothy's coffee shop sells the coffee maker and refills as well.

I have been using the Tassimo for about two weeks now and give it top marks. (BTW, it is currently on sale at Canadian Tire at $25 off). It makes excellent coffee, cappuccino and latte and is the only one I have seen that makes a perfect cup of tea at 190F. The discs are readily available at my local A & P and although the price per cup is higher than regular machines, the product is much better and compares favourably with coffee speciality houses. All of that and your cup of coffee takes about a minute to prepare. I have no doubt you will enjoy it!

Quick question. When you make a Latte or Cappuccino do you need a seperate "disc" for the milk?

I have enough HBC Rewards points to get one for "free". I think they normally sell for about $190.

It takes two discs to make the Cap or Latte and they come packaged together. You first put in the expresso disc and it does its thing in about fifteen seconds and then you remove it and add the larger milk disc which completes the process. The regular price at CT and WM is $174.

I have a Gaggia. These puppies are not cheap but if you like your latte and capucino, they are very impressive

i bought it years ago and still works well

Picked up a Tassimo over the long weekend. Pretty happy though some beverages like Hot Chocolate only fill the mug about half way. Need to use the manual control to add more water.

I was skeptical at first mostly due to the price but the company I do work at has these machines and I'm hooked. I used to go to (insert brand name here ) every morning and some days the coffee would be great and other days it wouldn't be so great. The Tassimo brews the same cup everytime. I've let the family know so I'll be getting one for Christmas.

If you want a *real* espresso-based drink (cappuccino, latte, etc.) there is no substitute for a *real* espresso machine like Hugh's Gaggia. In a side-by-side taste test, you would be amazed at how much better the real thing is. The Tassimo and other pod coffee makers are convenient, but they'll never make genuine espresso.
