The Rogers IPG now shows some programmes as (HD) in their listings. So far I've noticed ABC programmes done this way. Hope this is a trend... Perhaps they'll add (5.1) to the listings as well (as they have done on TMN for a while already).
Apparently Comcast in NY has been doing this (HD) for a while (they don't show (5.1)). As long as they keep copying each other's good things, we're the winners.

NBC too. For example, tonight it was: Frasier (HD)
Some finally figured out that maybe we'd like an indication which shows on those HD channels are in HD. As you say, good news.

Of course one of the channels that said HD in the guide was actually SD when it came on - not sure which one as I wasn't interested in the show butI noticed it while I was flipping through. Definitely a good trend if they get it right most of the time.

someone sent me a note a week or so ago saying.. that The listings now list the shows (ABC, CBS and NBC) that are in HD with "HD" at the end and that the Rogers preview on 280 is in DD5.1 (not the Samsung portion) .
