The review posted by James99 took the words right out of my mouth. I found myself "grabbed" by the first episode (think it might have something to do with Virginia Madsden

There's nothing wrong with watching bad guys, but (the review said it better than I can) there's something odd about a storyline that sees the audience cheering for a group of criminals who shoot a museum security guard in the back. And in the movie examples you bring up, most (not all I admit) of the 'criminals' get their just reward in the end. Unless "Smith" is a limited run series I doubt anyone else in the gang is going to die or go to prison.

I enjoyed it and will be watching again.
As for the guard, he shot the tech guy first. Then the other guy shot the guard. Not exactly Han vs. Greedo but you know, I had no problem with the guard being shot in that manner (as a viewer, not a human being |

It wasn't very good, but not as bad as the reviewer implies. I'll give it another chance next week mainly because I like the lead actors.

Looks like CTV has removed Justice from their schedule to make room for Criminal Minds. I don't see it in next week's schedule either.
It's almost like CTV wants the rights to every show out there, but doesn't have enough time in the day to air it all! |

CTV does seem to be greedy. Once the Chum buy out goes through hopefully they'll share with City TV.

Had to tape it, but just finished watching it now. I actually don't remember a whole lot except for Amy Smart ripping her buttons. My gods, what a boring show. I thought this was supposed to be edgy, smart and stylish. Instead, it was boring, boring and boring. None of the characters were even mildly interesting. Ray Liotta displays absolutely no charisma here, and for the lead of a show like this, he really should. The others were bland and interchangeable. Virginia Madsen's character, though lovely to look at, didn't really grab me either. The pace of the show was agonizingly slow too.
After that one guy died, I spent the rest of the episode trying to remember which one he was, what he did earlier in the ep. I couldn't for the life of me remember anything about him. Okay, so they're not going to do much character development for someone they're killing off in the first ep, but come on! If you want to watch a crime drama done right, try to find (or download) the five aired episodes of Heist. Yeah, it was cancelled after ep #5, but it was miles ahead of this bore-fest. It had a charismatic lead, interesting characters, great dialogue, and interesting situations. Smith was awful. I'll be avoiding it like the plague. cheers, supervij Last edited by supervij; 2006-09-20 at 11:21 PM. |

Has my vote... easily the least interesting of the new Fox dramas.

Smith isn't long for this world (unless upcoming eps do a lot more to make their characters more engaging).
