Just wondering if Bell is getting ready to bring out a new receiver. It seems that they are basically giving away the 9241. New customers get the rental fee waived for 3 years then they own it. After a call to retentions back in August I received the same deal, as did my brother in law and my parents. Just wondering what the new receiver will be. I also got the install fee waived, as I already had an HD receiver, the only install was the installer unpacking the box and connecting the receiver. I also got $20 off the top of my bill. and as the credits according to the person I spoke to could take some time to appear on my bill, she gave me an instant $50 credit. This was all back in August. I found if you call and just say that you are happy with the service but the bill is just too high, they are willing to do a lot for you. I also got my Internet cut in half.

You just call the Bell TV number of 1-888-570-0778 and choose the option to cancel your service, and that will get you to bell retention. I always ask the agent if they are Bell Customer Loyalty first, and if the IVR routed incorrectly, then the agent will get you through.

I hope this helps

I just call 310-bell tell Emily that I have a billing question and then when I get a real person I ask for the Loyalty Department. They say why and I just say my bill is too high, then they transfer me.

Is it better to call Loyalty department or to use the Cancel option to get a discount.

Well I called their 310-Bell number than asked for their Loyalty Department and got a credit. I was surprised that they did not give me a hard time. Just told them I have been a customer for 20 years and they gave me the credit.

Cancelled this week and they made no effort whatsoever to retain my business. Not that it would have made a difference; I already made up my mind.

I got a free rent to own hdprv (9241) plus $20 off my bill a month.

How they did the free rent to own is that charge $13.xx/month for the receiver and give me a credit for $13.xx/month

Question

Got a call Very tempting offer.
I would from BTV. earlier today.(I called last week to see what kind of deal they could give me)

They know about my contract with Rogers. The person I was talking to said this

6 months at the discounted rate there advertising(Fibe 25, best,Time shifting, 3 ethnic services,French services, TMN + Hollywood 4)
Then I would get 50% of Internet & phone for 2 months after the 6 moths(this part was to help compensate for my penalty I would get from Rogers canceling early.

I asked if I could think about it and talk to the wife this evening. The individual said no problem and just call back with a reference number an gave me.

So do I go for it or not.

I figured it out and the cost difference between what i would pay Rogers between now and OCT & if was to go BTV and it ends up that I would owning Rogers $55 in long run after canceling fee?
Sop I waiting for the wife to come home to talk top her, but t appears at this point I maybe leaving Rogers sooner then I though if everything goes as planed that is. Wife please say Yes

Well I made the plung Or some what.

I'm only getting BTV at this present time.

Best
Timeshfting
3 Ethnic services
french Services
TMN/MPIX
Hollywood Suits

I will be dropping Rogers cable to basic, return the boxes.

As for BTV

According to the woman I spoke to I'll be getting

9241(was hoping for a 9242, but hey no biggie no real lose)
3 6400(I thought they gave 6131 as rentals?)

I looked at my TV the one I thought didn't have video inputs an under the Coax input I saw Video inputs. I know my eye sight isn't the greatest with my visual disability, but how could I miss those>

In any event at least I will be able to use the receivers.

Come OCT switching phone & internet to Bell and dropping Rogers cable all togetrher.

Installer will be at home next Tuesday.

I redid the collections and it wasn't $55 I would end up paying but $300

They probably told you that you'd get 6400's, but don't be surprised if the tech shows up with 6131's. They always show up as a 6400 on the order, but it's whether they show up at 6400 RCP or 6400 ORS that makes the difference.
