I have a budget of $1500, and am after a 32" LCD HDTV with ATSC tuner for over the air HD broadcasts using an outdoor antenna. Anyone seen a decent one around?

Top two 32" models with ATSC tuners, in your price range are:
Sharp LC-32D40U Samsung LNS3241D |

I would go with the JVC LT-32X887. Although the Sharp will probably generate a little less video noise the JVC will give you much better color processing and details. As for Samsung they cannot reproduce a good dark image.

i have the same question, only I want to know the cheapest TV that is 32" with an ATSC tuner.
i've seen many 32" tv's for 800-900 but none of them have ATSC tuners. |

The Viewsonic 3252w is apparently making its way on to store shelves at Costco, both in store and online. According to the specs listed on the Costco website, it has an ATSC tuner.
And the price? $889.99--the cheapest price I've seen in Canada. |

^ wow great find, thats by far the best price i've seen. and it's Viewsonic, i mean it actually has a decent name. not westinhouse or digimate or some cheap futureshop TV.
edit: the picture on the costco website shows this TV: ![]() but the CNET Reviews Page shows this TV: ![]() which one is right? the second one looks so much better Last edited by 026163; 2006-09-18 at 05:22 PM. |

The first picture is the one being sold by Costco. I picked mine up last night. I exchanged the 27" version (looks like the bottom version) for the 32" version for the low price of 101.97 to cover price difference and taxes. Costco has the best satisfaction guarantee.

How do you like this Viewsonic N3253W TV? I'm looking to buy it, but can't find too many reviews for that model. I'm going to be running it as my pc monitor, and have a SA3250HD box feeding the TV signal over component. Thanks! |

kicks the crap out of those sharp tv's any day |

I just picked up the Viewsonic 3252 from Costco. The only disappointment so far is the sound. Still haven't decided if I'm keeping it. How long will Costco allow me to keep the TV before I can no longer exchange it?
Thanks |

If you have a Costco Store in reach of your home... and a membership... or friend who is a member... you can get Sony Bravia 32" with ATSC Tuner there.
I tried the less expensive Westinghouse Digital, and the Polaroid before and both had lousy ATSC tuners and other problems. Then I got the sony. $1450US and it has dropped in price since I bought one. Check out their website. www.costco.com Jeff |

I was just browsing through the November issue of Consumer Reports and saw that the Toshiba 32HL66 was rated near the top of the 32" sets they tested.

Can you comment on picture quality of both ..... your profile doesn't show how or what your connecting to it …. Cable HD? I am looking at running Rogers HD into a 26”/27” …. like to watch sports but LCD’s have “blurred” to much for me in past years (especially hockey). Any one else have idea’s/opinions on fast motion and LCD’s …. looks pretty good on a Plasma. |
