Default Comwave = Crooks

They are horrible and shameless company. Even if you say no to the contract they force you to accept the contract if you do not they find ways to suspend your line and you get calls from their account receivable to pay immediately.

I am wondering if any knows a way to stop them legally or is there company or government agency to complain about them?

Do not even think of using their service or calling them. Their sales persons are magicians who will manipulate you by not saying the consequences.

Once you say no then you will find out that you Credit Card has been charged for more than $700.

Say no to comwave!

Default Complain to Better Business Bureau

Whoever has problems with Comwave, you will have to complain to Better Business Bureau. They will always try to help you and a lot of times they do get the problems solved. If you really are out of options then I truly recommend you contact them.

I have also had problems with Comwave with overbilling and they sent the collection agencies after me. After complaining to BBB they finally stopped harassing me.

Default We should all joint a lawsuit against Comwave

I was checking the website of BBB (Better Business Bureau), Comwave shows a big "F" and quite a few cases left unsolved.

I will try BBB and post the results, but this is only a passive way and we may still be at the mercy of the thieves at Comwave, that their reputation at BBB is so bad, they may not even care to respond as they have done so to all of us, who are simply have no more need for their services but can not rightfully cancel the services. They can suspend the use of the fully paid for service at will, no refunds, and if we charge back or change our credit card, they will penalize us and send it to colection agencies.

We should find a way to legally put our voice together and I am sure it will be very loud, because we are not just the few that are the victims of the unfair, crooked business practices.

Ways to Small Claims courts are very lonely, anyone who will lead our collective voices ?

Default I have no business with them, yet Comwave is harassing me on the phone!!!

I haven't read a single favourable comment about Comwave so far.

This comes as no surprise for me, even though I never had any business with this company.

Actually, I never even heard of this company until the moment I got an automated message from them, that my account is suspended because the payment is overdue, and I'll be forwarded to collections, etc. (remember, I never had an account with them, never had any business relations with them; I haven't even heard of them before!!!).

Calling them several times was of no avail; even though I explained them that I never heard of them before, let alone had an account with them, and I was assured that I will stop receiving these calls, I still get them, each and every evening, at about 9:00pm

The thing is that these automated calls are illegal, even if I would indeed be a customer of theirs with an overdue account. A debtor should not be called on the phone if this is explicitly requested.
I guess my next move will be to fill a complaint about this phone harassment.

So, it seems that one doesn't even need to make the mistake to sign up for their service to have bad experiences with this company!

Even though I now nothing about the quality of their service, just from this experience with their customer service (Comwave is either a bunch of idiots, or a bunch of crooks), I would strongly suggest to anyone to STAY AWAY BY ALL MEANS FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Default Comwave poor service

We moved to comwave from bell. That was a mistake. We found out that our alarm system didn't work with comwave and we would have to spend more to solve the problem. We switched back to bell after days of delay and a exit fee of $50, which no one mentioned during the sales pitch or in any other communication (since they didn't record my email address correctly, I received no communication from them except for initial box fedex to me). As well, when the President's office called me, they failed to tell me that I would be charged. As well, they were to give me instruction to return the box and get my first $50 back, and its been over a week and no email with instructions have been sent to me. So now I am out over $100 ...
Buyer Beware.

That's something I've actually always wondered; if a company says "You have a three year contract with us," and I say "no way," and there's no paper contract, who would win a case in small claims court?

An interesting question, but very much off topic for this thread. Let's keep this to reviews of Comwave, please.

Thanks,

Steve

Angry Steer Clear of Comwave

Steer clear from them if you haven't and get out of their clutches
immediately if you are with them.
Several months ago I received a call from a Comwave rep who
stated that if I joined their company I would be able to access
long distance calls at 1.8 cents/min with no hidden charges.
I did not say yes and I did not agree with any trial period.
However, a month later I received an invoice for long distance
calls and the rate charged was 3.9 cent/min.
I sent a payment by cheque of an amount that I considered I owed
them($8.00), had several irate conversations with a customer rep
based in India.
As a result of these calls my rate was adjusted to 1.9 c/min plus
1 c/min for the privilege of not having to use a 10 digit access
code ahead of my destination call number.
There was a dispute of $1.21 which they claimed I still owed them.

This morning we discovered that our long distance service had
been suspended until I paid the $1.21 plus 0.17 late payment charges.

Lightbulb How can complain against COMWAVE

I am having a problem with comewave since months. I asked them to discountnue the service and port my number to shaw. But they didn't listen and even after making ten twelve phone calls. All custmer service rep. behave like babies know only to say " sorry sir /madam".

Even after three weeks struggle with the support of shaw, my number was ported. But still my account activated and sending invoices. gain I have to made calls to find reason why still account activated even after more than month....More rude thing is they charging 50 dollar for number port that i never heard from any other company.....

I think this company play rude and injustice way with customers and providing third class service...

Is there a any way to complain against them....in court or any telecommunication customer protection organization.....If anyone know pls let know.....or Is there a any way to let media like news papers, tv or radio stations know about this issues...at least people can stay away from this company and if this is publish thru the media it will help to case in court against them...

Default Comwave comment

I was contacted by Comwave a total of three times, the last time today. The salesman (always the same one) was persistent!
The plan offered was a flat 2.9 cents/minute to USA, Canada, and Japan. I don't really need another service, but thinking that an additional arrow in my quiver at no cost would be no problem I continued the conversation. (I already can make long distance calls at low rate by dialling 10-10-925, though I have not used that for ages.)
The salesman, of indeterminate foreign origin, gave me information on the service, a Customer Support number, etc., and I was told that my service would not be changed from my current Aliant provider since I did not want to change from them- they are (at least) reliable (if not the cheapest) and their tech service is always available and good.
Anyway, we were getting near the end of the details when on a whim I decided to see if there was anything on the internet about Comwave. The first hit was this one, and since the comments were almost universally negative I politely told the salesman that I did not want to go through with adopting their plan.
I note that most of the dissatisfied customers were those who had signed contracts for service, had installed equipment, etc., none of which applied to me. But since the information about the company in other regards was unsatisfactory, I figured why should I get involved with them when it is not really necessary.
So, this forum has served a useful purpose. My thanks.

Default Comwave iphone app is very bad!

I downloaded the Comwave app and paid $15+HST for the monthly fee - within a week it stopped working. I opened a ticket in their customer support they had no idea how to help or resolve the situation. I tried to cancel the account to no avail. I tried calling customer service no one answers the line. This is a real bad company.

Default Stay away from Comwave

They illegally signed my mother up for a long distance plan she did not agree to and as we were trying to investigate the billing with a Comwave representative, Comwave called and issued a threat they would be sending the account to a collection agency. Crooks and prey on the elderly with double talk. Better Business Bureau rating is an "F" for this company with good reason.
