Default Weird loss of channels, Split Recordings. (FoxHD Buffalo related issues?)

Anyone just lose like half their analog channels via a digital box?

Notable channels missing, ctv (12), tsn (30), but 29 (muchmusic) works as does HD-TSN.

Other TVs with normal analog are receiving the channels fine, so I guess its something up with the Rogers digital?

Rebooted the 3250, but those missing channels are still just coming up as blank.

Definitely weird... :/

It's been like this since about noon here. In the first 20, I am getting only 2, 4, 7, 15, 18 and 19. Above 30 most are ok, but 58 and 61 are out.

I phoned around 5pm and there is a message "... our technicians are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible." Not fast enough though!! What on earth can cause such a problem???

Update: The latest message says "We hope to have this problem resolved today by 10:08pm" !!!!! I mean, 10:08?????? What happens at 10:08 that I don't know about!!

I got the same message they are working on it.

Note that on our analog TVs we have now lost all the Buffalo stations (nbc, cbs, fox and abc).

This started at around 9:55 whilst I was watching Bones.

Seriously, try watching 531. This is...uh...annoying.

I too, demand free cable for life!

My wife and I were also watching Bones on the same channel here in Mississauga and had the exact same thing on our 8300HD PVR. She accused me of screwing around with the PVR in the last few minutes of her show.

Of course, once 10:00 rolled around and the recording finally ended, we had the joy of about 20 "1 minute" recordings to clean up.

At first I thought it was the PVR screwing up like last week, when I turned it on, and the LIST refused to come up. As soon as I requested the list, it would flash on the screen and go off again. A simple hard reboot solved that problem.

Lucky for timeshifting, I just queued up a later Bones broadcast and we'll just watch the end later (tomorrow).

Mine did as well. The PVR hadn't recorded X-Files the night before, so she thought there was a problem, and then THIS started happening. And yes, cleaning up the 20 bones recordings was fun.

Whoops. You know, I have time shifting, so one wonders why I didn't just do that very thing. Well, as long as Bones and whats-his-face didn't get blown up in the last 2 minutes, I think I'll get what's going on next week.

You still have the 8xx channels? They have been gone for quite a while now here. Of course, I could still watch the "down" channels by bypassing the digital box. Except I could not get certain channels like CFTO (Toronto CTV) since that is on 106 here and it was down.

Anyway, it seems to be fixed now. Very strange problem though!

In Waterloo, the blanked channels started before 6pm and were still blank around 10:30pm. When I checked again at 5:30 am, it was fixed (at least for the channels I checked).

I also noticed the sd/hd indicator didn't change when switching to the offending channels. ie switching to tsn and the sd/hd indicator remained at the previous channel's setting.

An odd thing was when using up/down channel button, the channel would sometimes show for a split sec before going blank.

Whoa, so I wasn't the only one that had that problem. Bones screwed up for me at the last five minutes but Justice screwed up from the beginning so I had about 80 1 minute recordings to delete.

I had the same problem recording "Justice" last week, I thought the damn thing was possessed. I even unplugged the unit, and when it came back up, it started right back at it. I eventually managed to remove the original scheduled recording, and that stopped it.

NOW, I'm taping the season premiere of House, and it's breaking it up into random chunks, but at least they're around 15 minutes apiece, which is more manageable. Is this a problem from Fox? Rogers? The PVR?

I noticed that all my screwed up recordings of Bones and Justice from LAST WEEK re-appeared on my recorded list today even after I deleted them last week. WTF?! Should we be calling Rogers about this?
