Today, I called Rogers to order Teletoon French on Digital Channel 507. I just wanted that one, for $2.49, like all the others. To my utter distaste, I was told that in order to get it, I must subscribe to some package for $6.99. They said the French channels werent sold individually. What gives? Why do you think Rogers treats the French channels differently? We used to be able to sub to Mplus or RDS on Pick n Pay. Why not now?

Mainly because the demand is lower for french channels so they have to charge a higher base cost to make up for the lower subscribtions.
It's the same as any ethnic channel or niche speciality service. Less possible subrscribers=Higher price |
