I'm very simple. I have Labatt Honey in my fridge. $26 for 24 is a good price to me.

Whenever I'm in New-Brunswick, it's Alpine or Moosehead Dry. I wish Alpine would be sold in Ontario.

And whenever I do my beer-butt chicken, it's a Heinekein can.

The problem is the can. I find that most (if not all) canned beers taste kinda crappy, especially when compared with their bottled counterparts (if available).

Try a Guinness the "right" way: Find yourself a nice pub and order a well-poured pint. I guarantee* you'll enjoy it.

(*This is not a guarantee.)

Waterloo Dark.

I came to know this beer from living in Waterloo so it surprises me to see it on tap in Toronto.

1) Alexander Keith's and Moosehead (Lagers)

2) Kilkenny (my favourite Ale)

3) Steam Whistle Pilsner, my favourite on really hot and humid days.

I wish Moosehead Premium Dry was available in Ontario.

When I lived in Halifax, that was all I drank.

Waterloo Dark is probably among my favorites
from there Moosehead, Alexander Keith's, Rickard's Red

On a business trip to Mexico I came to appreciate their beer very much. Corona and Sol are about the worst thing they offer. XX is good.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get Mexican beer imported somehow. The have one called Bohemia which is quite good. Or else Modelo Negro (i think thats what it was called)....

Cool Budvar/Czechvar

I've tried over 300 commercial beer brands from around the world and my list of favourites has changed over the years along with my tastebuds, but on reflection these are my favourites:
  1. Budvar/Czechvar - the REAL budweiser (not that Yankee pisswater!) - Czech Republic
  2. Fischer Bitter (Alsatian Beer) - France
  3. Charles Wells India Pale Ale - England
  4. Guinness Stout - Ireland
If you like Pilsner-style or Northern European-style beers (Stella Artois, Becks, Tuborg, Heineken, St. Pauli Girl, Urquell, etc.) you will adore Budvar/Czechvar and Fischer Bitter.

About Budvar/Czechvar:

This one is top notch and the most perfectly balanced commercial beer I have ever tasted anywhere. Czechvar was originally called "Budvar" up until a few years ago before being sued by Anheuser-Busch of the U.S.A., who made the case that even though beer has been brewed in Ceske Budejovice since the year 1265 and is therefore known in Sudaten-German-Czech and worldwide as budweiser-style beer, only an American company with mega-legal money can have such a name. Yankee pisswater-brewing bastards. Another bit of trivia: Budvar (oops, Czechvar) became known since 1895 as the "Beer of Kings". A-B calls its pisswater the "King of Beers".

I like Coors light, Bud, Blue.

When in Ontario I drink the cheap no-name brand stuff....Laker etc.

FYI: I went to the liquor store here in Baltimore last weekend, $16 US for 30 cans of Bud!!! 30!! I couldnt beleive it, I was so excited I bought two! (Now it is 4% so its like Bud light in Canada).

My favourite beer is the Heinekin you have at about 9 am after fishing for 4 hours.

That is perfect.
