Default Superstation WWOR New York

Does anyone think adding WWOR New York to the superstation pack would be a good idea. It is CRTC approved and they carry a decent number of New York Yankees games. When the package was originally created many years ago, all of the stations were filled with sports. Now WSBK Boston carries no pro sports at all and KTLA only has a few NBA games. Maybe a change would help bring some life back to the old boring superstaions?

WWOR is a UPN Station (like WSBK), soon to be a My Network station.

WSBK is going back to superstation status soon, as they are loosing the UPN affiliation in september.

Or you could just get the sports pack and get just about every sporting game there is that is televised. The monthly fee is real bargain if you are really into multiple sports.

Thumbs down Superstation WWOR 9

I just checked the listings on the WWOR site. Simply put, there's nothing on it that's not already on 10 currently available stations. Aside from the odd sporting event, it's the same old same old. If it was offered for free I'd take it. To pay for it though? No thanks.

WWOR-TV will becoming a My Network TV affiliate. Since customers in Ontario will already have My Network TV in Ontario, it makes the addition of WWOR useless, however I'm sure this channel would be a good addition to the folks that live in Atlantic Canada.

Some independed cable systems already have WWOR. I get it through my local cable company (Source Cable). In fact we had from 1992-1998 and then they re-added it late last year.

Is there still a limit of 5 superstations that cable ops can carry?
Rogers GTA can get a way with the 2 recent ones they added, because techninally, they:

1. Are not really "superstations" (if there's still such a thing)
2. They are cross border/local stations that many people can get OTA.
