Default Outstanding results

I had 57 out to my new home about a week ago to set up a brand new 60" Sharp Quatron - as others have said this guy is awesome and the results are awesome and the best part is everyone including my son-in-law cannot believe how good the set looks now! I am sure I will have several clients for 57!

Default Great Results!

57 came by this weekend and calibrated my home theatre system and a second tv. He was extremely thorough and professional and I learned a great deal about various settings in all of my components.

The picture in both tvs is now outstanding and the sound in my home theatre system is significantly improved as he identified issues around settings on my cable box, a speaker connection and recommended receiver settings.

Thanks again for a great job! I'd highly recommend this to anyone who has invested in a home theatre system.

Wondering what to give someone for Christmas? Why not a Home Theatre Optimization from 57?

I don't accept credit cards or Paypal, however, I have arranged with people who have paid me with money orders, certified cheque, or bank transfer (I usually accept only cash on site, and that's fine too if you're going to be there).

I can print up a "voucher" for you (or you could do so yourself) for whomever you decide to give this to. Or I can simply come by at the appropriate time - all up to you.

Please contact me via PM if you're interested. It'd be good to know:

- Roughly what equipment is involved (make/model of TV, STB, AVR, BD/DVD Player, etc)
- The location (closest intersection at least - so I can confirm pricing during our initial discussions)
- Your e-mail address and/or phone number.

See post 1 of this thread for additional information.

57 was recently at my home to calibrate my new Panasonic Plasma and he couldn't have been more professional and courteous. Everything looks great and I highly recommend him.

Thanks again 57!

57 optimized my Samsung plasma and Yamaha surround sound this morning. Very happy with how everything turned out. "Test drove" the set up with a couple of Blu Ray's - the picture quality and SOUND blew me away!

Now I'm itching for a new receiver to get higher quality sound out of my HTPC! When that happens, 57, I'll have you back.

Default help in Calgary?

wondering if 57 (or anyone that has suggestions) can recommend someone in Calgary that can offer similar consulting service. we installed a fairly complex whole home system when we renovated a couple of years ago and have had many challenges keeping various components working properly ever since. The original installation contractor made a few attempts but have never been terribly helpful, and now are not interested at all, so I'm looking for someone that can come in get it all working and optimize the system.

we have:
Family room:

Speakercraft MZC-66 audio controller (controls sound to 5 zones, and is supposed to allow different sources to feed different zones but has never worked consistently)
Yamaha HTR-6250 AVR
Pace DC758D PVR (although this will be replaced...it's flaky... either with a new Shaw PVR or we may switch to Telus Optik)
Samsung UN55C6500 TV
Samsung BD-C 6500T Blueray
Apple TV
Harmony One remote

Basement Rec room:

Panasonic AVR
Pace TDC 770D PVR
Samsung UN55C6500 TV
Samsung BD-C 6500T Blueray
Harmony remote

the rec room system works reasonably well, but the Fam room system and mutli-room sound system are very inconsistent, and we are not getting the full functionality form a pretty expensive system.

we also have frequent issues where the TV cannot recognize a signal frpm the AVR, so I suspect it may be because the system is all connected via HDMI (ie the handshake issues i've read about on the forum)

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

57 recently came to my home to optimize/calibrate my new Samsung Smart TV. The results were outstanding.

He is a professional and a pleasure to deal with. He took the time to explain every adjustment he was making and helped me understand everything my TV and set-top box can do and are capable of doing. I learned a lot in three hours and ended up with a properly calibrated TV as well. He also took a look at the settings on another TV in the time he had left over.

I can't imagine why I'd pay a big box store twice the price to do half the job he can do. Well done, 57!

I am extremely happy with the service 57 provided. He was punctual which was the first sign I made the correct decision in choosing 57 to optimize my equipment. He was very professional, he explained everything he was doing and the reasons why. My TV and my surround system never looked or sounded better. I really enjoyed meeting him and will not hesitate to call him in the future. As for the price he charges, you would be a fool not to use him over a box store expert. His prices are extremely competitive!!

Default RE: Simply Put---Amazing Work

While doing research on this wonderful and informative forum, I decided to call 57 to come and calibrate and optimize my 80" Sharp Aquos and Denon 1913 amp.

He did everything perfectly. He spent about 3 hours at my house going thru all the set up and explaining to me everything he was doing step by step. I almost felt I was in a classroom again. 57 is very personable and knowledgeable at calibrating the tv and optimizing the Denon amp. He even set up my remote so that once I hit the power button, the TV, receiver and cable box all come on one after another. My home theatre also included a new set up of Klipsh speaker towers, book shelf speakers, centre channel and a 12" sub. My friends could not believe the difference.

I did try to do an initial set up the night before but when he saw how I set up everything, he quickly made some changes and everything ran nicely thru the amp.

I cannot say enough positive things about 57. He made everything run perfectly and set up all my settings on the tv to it's maximum capability.

Guys, with the amount of money we spend on our system and tv, it is well worth having 57 come and fine tune your equipment. What he charges is more than reasonable for the work he does. There is no other like 57.

Thank you from a very happy customer. I have also referred him to my 2 other friends who is in the process of getting a similar set up as me.

Thanks,

Vince

Default Thanks 57

I recently had 57 out to Whitby to tackle my two systems. As others have noted, I was struck by his excellent communication skills as he thoroughly explained what he was doing in working through my systems, identifying a speaker wiring problem with one and suggesting a more optimal speaker placement in a hard to configure room for the other. I thought I had a pretty good handle on my systems but all the tweaking and calibrating sure improves my listening and viewing experiences. He even suggested a novel way to hook up my Blu-ray player to enhance my music listening after I mentioned my preference to music over watching TV. But the absolute best was the optimization of the 3D capability of my Panasonic plasma after I mentioned an apparently oft repeated annoyance with the darkness of the 3D picture that I had found to that point. That alone was worth the cost of his services. As well he even made a great suggestion of adding some ambient lighting to my main system to enhance the viewing experience and later sent a link to a possible source. Something I had never thought of.

In short, no matter how well you think you have your system set up, nothing beats a seasoned professional going over your system and if you haven’t spent any time doing any of this then I would suggest it’s almost essential to have him come in, especially at the very affordable rate he charges.

The only drawback to his services, is that you will likely find yourself drawn to watching more TV or listening to music than ever before.

Another happy client of 57's here. I recently purchased a new 55" Sony, and decided to have 57 come out to my place to calibrate it and ensure I am getting the most out of my system. The difference is amazing. Some changes in my Bluray player and receiver also made a big difference in how things operate. I was impressed with his knowledge and ability to explain what he was doing/recommending. I had recently purchased new speakers, and he recommended the placement of them based both on current TV placement (above the fireplace) and the optimal placement (have to figure out if I can make that work with my furniture - I'd like to).

He also sent a follow-up email with a link for bias lighting which I've already gone ahead and purchased.

I've recommended his services to some friends already, and recommend anyone thinking about it do the same - it's money well spent!

Another happy customer! I had 57 out to optimize my man cave system and living room TV. Like all the others said, he was a pleasure to deal with and very professional. I thought I had a good understanding of all this technology, but 57 taught me a whole lot more about my systems. He sure knows his stuff, inside and out!

All ready for our Super Bowl party now!!!

Thanks again 57. $ well spent.

We have a very modest new Home Theater set up and I was not confident that all features were fully utilized. I called 57 in and with his expertise, focused approach, patience and diagnostic gear, he optimized picture and sound well beyond my efforts. He quickly tuned up a secondary TV to its full potential. Suggestions were made regarding speaker placement as well.
Thank You 57!

We recently updated a few components of our home theatre so I arranged to have 57 pay us a visit.

The session was very informative and easy to understand while touching on everything from set-up menu’s to room lighting recommendations. I can’t say enough about the improvement in both the picture and sound quality.

If you’re considering an optimization don't hesitate to give 57 a call….a definite 2 thumbs up!!
