Sorry if this is not posted in the correct spot, but newbee and can't figure out where for sure.
Where in Canada can you purchase home theater projectors? I found a couple of places like costco.ca, sears.ca, yourprojectorguy.com, quebecacoustic.com and a couple of others, but there is not much of a selection to compare prices at all. Any ideas where I could look? I'm looking for prices on infocus 4805, optoma h31,h27,hd72, sanyo z2,z3,z4, panny aeu 700,900. Will appreaciate any help, it just seems like it sucks to shop in Canada. |

I bought mine at quebecacoustic.com. Great people to deal with, great prices, fast and in most cases free shipping.

I am in Gander Newfoundland, which is one main reason why there is not much selection in projectors. My only chance is online really cause we only have the futureshop and costco to choose from in the whole province. THX for the replies though, I will check a few of the sites. You guys think the special at costco of $1500 for the h31 and screen is a good deal?

I second (or third or fourth) the QuebecAcoustic guy... he was very helpful and will match/beat anyone. Great service goes a long way with me...

If you're considering Quebecacoustic, make sure they're listed on the manufacturer's website as an authorized vendor. Last year I almost bought a Panasonic from Quebec Acoustics. They assured me that they were a Panasonic authorized retailer. But Panasonic said QA was NOT authorized to sell the AE 700, and that this could be a problem for warranty claims. I checked back with QA to see how they would respond, and they said their account with Panasonic "might have been deactivated" because they were buying their projectors from someone other than Panasonic Canada. Their price was good, but I wanted the full Canadian warranty. Check this out -- QA may now be authorized, and with their good prices, I hope they are.
I bought a Sanyo Z3 from http://www.complete-it.ca. Good price and prompt delivery. I haven't needed service, so I can't comment on that. Ricketty |

If anyone is considering the Panasonic AE900U in Ontario, PM me and I can give you details of the deal I got through 2001 A-V. Don't know if it compares with QuebecAcoustic but when I was researching they weren't an authorized retailer as mentioned above and I wanted to make sure my warranty was safe.
On similar vien, if you're looking for cables to go with it, definitely check out www.**************. I haven't found anyone who can beat their prices and shipping to Canada is reasonable. |
