Default Terminator 3

Did anyone watch it last night? This was the first movie were I could compare side to side the Upconverting DVD player vs the HD movie.
I can only say that I should have never done that!! It was like wining a Million bucks with someone else's money and then have to give it all back to that person (if you know what I mean). Everything, I mean absolutelly everything looked 1000 times better than DVD and 100 times better than my upconverting DVD (which I love BTW). I can now say I WANT A HD-DVD or Blue Ray player SOOOOO BAD!!!!
Even my wife agreed to buying one after seeing this movie in HD. I think this was the best broadcasted show CityHD has ever done. It was right up-par with most of the Discovery and PBS shows late at night (when the shows look the best)

2 cents

I have TMN ( The Movie Network). There's tons of movies in HD there.

Yes the picture quality that I saw from Cbs was excellent. I ended up taping it since I expanded my 8300 HD Pvr by another 300G.

Too bad there are ads but I can always fast forward it.

Stargate Atlantis on TMN is also very good.

See the following previous thread on the subject.

Note the audio issues....

Moved this thread to the appropriate forum.

Yaamon, did you record Buffalo? Do you have DD5.1 capability? Can you confirm lack of rear sound?

I agree with all of the above. I thought T3 was a very average movie (interesting story, but executed in so-so fashion). But it did look fantastic in HD, so I watched most of it just to enjoy all the effects and eye candy. Kudos to CBS/CityHD. In fact it beat the quality of some of TMN's movies (but not all).

As an aside, Man of the House was on yesterday, too on TMNHD. Stinker of a movie, but excellent PQ and audio (only could endure 5 mins though). Lord of the Rings ROK was excellent too.
