Default Shaw Digital Phone Promo For New Customers

Right now you can sign up for Shaw Digital Phone and for the first 3 months pay only $29.95, and then after that would revert to normal price.

Normal Price is $65 with no Shaw services, or $55 when you have Cable, Internet, or Digital TV, whether 1 or all services.

In Winnipeg it is $55 with no Shaw services. $50 with 1 Shaw Service (Cable or Internet), $45 with 2 Shaw Services (Cable and Digital TV, or Cable and Internet), or $40 with 3 Shaw Services (Cable, Digital TV, and Internet)

So anyone who was thinking about it, might be a good time to jump in.

This Promo is in all Shaw Digital Phone Areas, and is available to August 31, 2006. For More information see... Shaw Celebrates One Year Anniversary with Introductory offer for New Customers

Yes I do. I have had the service only for a week, but overall am pleased with the service.

The only issue I had was with Shaw voicemail, it was not notifying me of when I had new messages by turning on my message waiting light or interruppted dial tone but because I have an answering machine, I just cancelled their voicemail service and that was the end of that.

I have made long distance calls, and the quality was fine, I have also made international calls and noticed no difference

I tried 411, and 611 - both we're easy to use.
I tried all my other calling features - worked fine

One thing I did notice was...when you call 480-Shaw - and you are on hold, I don't know if you have experienced this... but when you are on a cell phone, the music will cut in and out because it can not process that many sounds at once (cell phone that is), well I noticed on the shaw phone, the music sometimes cuts out also, but when the voices come on, its fine.

If you have any other questions regarding my phone experience. PM me.

UPDATE:

On the weather channel here in Winnipeg (Channel 48) at the bottom it states;

New Shaw Digital Phone customers can get their first six months at $29.95 and first month free. Call 480-SHAW for details.

This may only be in the Winnipeg area, but I thought I would mention it. Also I am surprised no one else from Winnipeg mentioned this on the forums, as its been on the Weather channel for almost a week now.

Shaw just called me about the promo of first month free, five months at $30 then regular.

Are you implying that Winnipegers watch the weather channel a lot?!? lol
I did not know it existed before I lived here!

Shaw has told me in the past that for analog cable channels, the Weather channel on channel 48 is one of their most popular channels. I really like that channel, Local Weather, Music and Shaw Info all in one place. lol

This is off topic but why not....On Channel 48 the weather channel, Shaw owns the top Green and the bottom Green strips, and Environment Canada owns the middle (Blue or Red depending on the screen) So On DST when the clocks change that is Shaw's problem. I have no clue how they piece it together or what I just know who owns what.

Default 411 listings

I hooked up to Shaw on April 11. I didn't have phone service before so I got a new (778) number.

I was told by the installers that it would take up to 2 weeks to have my number listed with 411 - information - but over 6 weeks later i'm still not on Canada411 or regular 411

Anybody else have this problem?

I did a little research on Canada411 as myself I had my info changed when I moved to Shaw in Feb and it hasn't changed either and I found this;
