OMNI2 hasn't transitioned to the CN Tower yet. They were only recently approved for a move to channel 40.

Other observations are that WKBW that was coming in at 7.1 now resides at 38.3. I had just re-scanned about a week and a half ago and everything was as it should be until this recent development. Another quirk is that I have lost TV-Guide data for TVO (19.1). In it's place is data for a station that is listed as "Show Case"! |

Anyone in Niagara Falls able to receive WPXJ ? Although TVFOOL shows plenty of signal I see only a blip on the meter.

Is anyone having problems receiving 11.1 in St. Catharines? I'm wondering if they've cut the power level, or if my antenna setup is failing, as the signal level on my sony tv for them has almost dissappeared.
Until recently channel 11.1 came in almost full strength. I have a 8 bay channel master antenna for TO, and a large fm/vhf/uhf ant for Buff, both of which feed a cm7777 preamp, and about 120 ft of rg6 coax to my tv. |

During the recent wind storm I all but lost digital signal from my ancient channel master UHF/VHF on a 30 foot mast. Looking at most basic cable I would be paying $34 plus tax to start for less broadcast channels than I now get. I now get CBC Toronto Digital, and CTV strong even with the antenna off target.
This is from Ridgeway 58KM as the crow flies on Google maps from Ridgeway. Plus I am shooting right into a big leafy tree. |

CHCH 11.1 is hit and miss for me. Fort Erie Ontario near the race track. I have a DBGH on a tower aimed half way between TO and Hamilton with the frt and the rear sees everything from Buffalo except 2.1 and its companions. 9.1 and 11.1 give me the most trouble. I have 140ft of RG6 and tried an amp but it is too much for the local stations. What I need is a variable amp that is controlled from in the house.

It is weather related. Wet rainy bad weather days. On clear days no issue. I get 9.1 right now at a low 10% and perfect picture.

right, u can't control the weather.
keeping in mind the optimum aim for uhf may not be same as the optimum aim for vhf, u can also try separate antennas like this. That way ya can aim uhf separately from vhf, without having to worry about the strong Grand Island stations which are all UHF. Code:
/\ uhf
|
|---------|
uhf/vhf splitter joiner (UVSJ) ------------------TV
/\ vhf
|
|---------|

Is anybody else near the lake having issues with a VERY weak CBC. I used to be able to have the antenna pointed to Buffalo and receive CBC no problems now I have to turn the antenna almost 40 degrees before it even comes in. DId CBC lower there power??

I don't live near the lake (actually in Kitchener), but I did notice some issues with CBC last night (RF 20, Toronto). I believe it's likely due to co-channel interference brought on by warm temperature tropo.
CBC has not reduced power.

Overnight fog hovering over Lakes Erie and Ontario have been very heavy for the past several evenings, nights and mornings. Lake fog is a spring and fall signal killer for us living near the great lakes.
