Smile New HTPC: Input requested

Ok Guys Santa was a pretty decent dude this year and this is what he brought me so far to Make up a new HTPC, I am still collecting the final parts
so I am open to suggestions.
Sanata Brought:
1 Antec sonata II case With 450W antec silent PS
1 Asus AV8 Deluxe Mother Board
1 Pioneer 110D DVD Drive/ burner
1 GB OCZ Primier Ram
1 ATI X850 Pro 256 ddr3 Video Card AGP
1 100MM Vantec stealth fan With Zalman Controller

To This I am Thinking To add:
1 Maxtor 200 GB Dimond max 10 16 MB sata HD system HD ( Immediately)
2 Maxtor 350 GB dimond Max 10 16 MB Sata Drives On Raid 0 ( as Funds Permit)
1 3800+X2 CPU or a 3700 + single ( havent really decided yet)
1 Hapague 150 tuner Card
1 More GB of the OCZ Ram ( at a later Date)
For now I am thinking about using the onboard SPDIF out from the realteck
chipset to feed my amp and dispensing with the soundcard for the moment.

The unit will be connected to my 43" sammy Dlp via the availible PC VGA
Input ??? and I will use MCE 2005 with the remote as a front end.
Will probably start this build within a month or so, so I am open for input
I am In London Ont and Have NO OTA HDTV available to me and currently use a SA3250 As My STB. I will add a SA 3200 STB to the HTPC as required.

OPEN For Input

Default Check out BeyondTV

Congrats on the gifts.

Check out BeyondTV from snapstream.com

They have a front end called BeyondMedia that I use and love. One thing that I like is the ability to commercial skip your shows. I dont beleive you can do that in MCE2005 - I may be wrong.

Avoid raid 0 as you have zero back up! if one of those drives fail you will loose everything on both drives. But other than that is sounds like your on the right track.

Just FYI on the Hauppauge 150, NCIX has it on their boxing week sale bundled with a MCE remote for $104. The remote alone is $47 and I have had trouble finding the 150 at local stores. I ordered one of these today for a similar project.
