One more.....
I have Mirage in wall speakers and a Polk 12" subwoofer. In the manual to my Harman Kardon AVR 330 it has the option of either small or large speakers in the settings. They say the small is for no base all coming from the sub, and the large setting is for some of the LF sound coming from the speakers. What setting would I use? |

Here's a good discussion on bass management and speaker setup.
http://digitalhomecanada.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=12585 I think you're misinterpretting what the manual says. You should probably use the "small" setting for your speakers.

Yes, 57 is correct. Small refers to a speakers ability to reproduce sounds below 60Hz, not the size. If the 330 has a microphone set up, then it will automatically select the correct size (small/large). Otherwise, if you use small, all low frequencies are sent to your subwoofer. If large is selected, then a full range of sounds is sent to your speakers, and depending on your selection for the subwoofer, only some frequencies are sent to the subwoofer. In your case, I would guess that you should select small.
