Default My Name is Earl, another HD "gift".

http://ca.geocities.com/brangwyn@rogers.com/Earl.jpg

Well, I was watching the show tonight and chuckled to myself as I saw the one eyed man from earlier in the show at Joy's wedding. Notice what he is doing in the picture, only visible to HDTV watchers I must assume.

I have never heard of this show before.
It looks interesting.... It does not come up when I search through my guide.
Can someone tell me what time and channel it is on ?

Thanks
Cam

Tuesday evening NBC around 8-9PM. I usually record it from Seattle around midnight. It may not be on this coming week due to Christmas....

wow, I had no idea the show had so many HD 'easter eggs'. I think that's very clever on the producers part and just an added incentive to watch in widescreen

HD Beat has caught wind of this thread and posted the pic on their site. Nice catch Brangwyn.

Very cool, but what a monkey with the 'hosers' quip. I'm not offended; it's simply not as funny as he thinks it is.

Do we know this a deliberate "HD easter egg" or is it just a quirky event near the edge of a frame? The other 2 Earl HD easter eggs are indisputable.

That episode was on again last night. I recorded and watched it again after reading this thread. It was an "HD easter egg".

If you watch the "panning" in that scene, the left side of the screen stays perfectly still so that it is exactly in the "non-4:3" area, while the right side of the image shifts... very deliberate.

Another rerun is on next Tuesday...
