I was going to post this in the Rogers thread, but noticed a few threads saying to post it here.
I ma on Rogers, in toronto, and tried to record Amazing Race last night (as i was out) on my SA8300HD. I got home half way through it, it was showing on the TV when i turned everything on, and it was in my PVR list. I switched to another channel, figureing i would go back and see it once it completed.. So i went to the Recorded list, saw it listed as recorded for 2 hours, select click play and... black screen. The entire show was black screen no sound. Did anyone else have an issue recording it? |

Hello,
I also had problems but not the same thing. I had set it to record a week prior when the guide only showed it as an hour long show. So I get home at 9:45 to see that it is a 2 hour premiere and the PVR didn't record cause it didn't match my original recording time. I am also guessing the name must have changed as well as normally the PVR (if set for 1 hour) will pick up a 2 hour show provided the name is the same. Needless to say, I had to record time-shifted and watch the next day. Have NO idea what happened with your recording. |

Probably an inconsistent programme title. See the following thread.
It talks about how the programme is in the list, starts recording, but doesn't end up recorded... http://digitalhomecanada.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=18287 I have had programmes that changed times, or lengths record just fine, provided the name of the programme is correct. I'm moving this to the appropriate forum.

I could understand that, if it hadn't recorded the show.
But it was showing as being recorded (red "Record" light on the PVR during the show) and it was listed as being recorded in the list for 2 hours. And when i played it, it DID play, but was just black screen, and no sound.. i could fast forward, rewind (could probably pause too.. but can't tell as no picture or sound..).. just for 2 hours it showed black screens. |

Sorry bd. If you still have it on the DVR, reboot the DVR by unplugging it for a minute, plug it back in, give it 15 minutes and try again. If it's still all black...weird.
