Well over the years, this thread has gone everywhere but from the original post. Even the title has nothing to do about what prices the tubs should be! It was all about Hugh and how he felt about his tub. Then others (including me) put their grain of salt and what do you know, we have a smorgasborg of a thread. Even this post is out of the original post....

We're in the market for a hot tub and not sure which way to go.. Looking at a number of options and hoping anyone can share personal experience or knowledge on the following:

Considering following manufactures:
- Hydropool
- Artic Spa
- Dynasty

Considering:
- Salt water
- ozanator

any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm wondering if anyone has any numbers on what it costs them per month to operate their spa?

Depends on where you live, the size and what chemicals you use. Three factors in power are electricity rates, mean temperatures in your neighbourhood and temperature you keep it at.

Obviously the volume of water plays a major role as well as chemicals.

Many spa sites have calculators.

I have a Beachcomber 550 that is about 8 years old. It costs me about $30/month average on the hydro bill - less in the summer and more in the winter. I keep it at 102 degrees year round.

Chemincals it varies monthly based on usage.

I recently got a Spa2Go inflatable hot tub and we LOVE IT! We rent and a full blown 220v wired in tub would be too much money and hassle!
The tub was an Easy set up, easy maintenence, and has provided a lot of good times!!
