Default 9200 not working with HDMI out.

I've recently purchased a Sanyo Z-3 projector and have discovered an unusual problem with the HDMI out from the 9200.
I need to turn the 9200 off and then on again in order for the projector to either sense a signal or for the 9200 to send a signal out of the HDMI out.
Component works fine .
This is very annoying.
I have found others on the web that have had the same problem with different displays so this is not isolated to my projector/9200 combo.

Has anyone else noticed this problem????

I have mine connected via HDMI and have never had a problem. I have had mine since they were first released.

Interesting... I have the 6100 hooked up to the Z-3 and haven't encountered the problem.

Default Off topic but...

How does the Z3 look with the 9200? I have the 5200 and watch it with the stretch. Pic quality is good but the stretch annoys me

Thanks

I have a similar issue with my set-up I just upgraded my projector from a BenQ 6100 to a Panny PT-AE900U. Everything works fine via Component. But, when I use HDMI, the channel appears, goes black for a second and comes back. This happens each time I change channels or use the PVR to go forward and back.

I spoke to my local supplier as well as Panasonic Canada. It seems to be an issue with the 9200 but Bell won't admit it. It is a handshaking issue I guess. I have read others having similar issues with the Dish 942. The suggestion is that it is a bug hopefully a firmware fix will come out of it.

There are issues with HDMI/DVI devices. I get glitches with the 9200 set to 1080i and a Toshiba TV. I also have a DVI monitor that cuts out with an ATI video card. It can only get worse when HDCP is enabled.

Yep had the same problem with an LG upconverting DVD player in that it would not display a picture on my Daytek via DVI. Took the LG back, got a samsung and it worked perfectly. I now have the Samsung hooked up via component and the 6100 hooked up via DVI and they are both working fine.

I am going to get a Sony upscaling DVD player today and will use the HDMI cable for that. I will post if there are any problems.

I have had my panasonic S97 dvd player and now my 9200 hooked up to my Toshiba 51H84C HTV with no problems with either.

I have a Sony RP and some timesa DVI works and some times it doesn't. I haven't been able to pin point a combination that always work or a combination that always doesn't. Quite odd.

My DVI wouldn't work on my 6100 unless I did a reboot every time I started it. Bell told me to leave my receiver on. I got fed up with that and another agent redownloaded my last update and it worked fine until the receiver gave up the ghost.

I have my 6100 hooked up via DVI for a year - no problems at all. I use a Star something cable from Memory express

Just a follow-up.

I bought a Sony upscaling DVD player and sending a 1080i signal to Panansonic AE900 using HDMI. No issues at all. Once again pointing to a small HDMI problem.

I have the same problem with my 9200 and my Panasonic TH42PD50 Plasma TV.
I have to do a hard reboot of the receiver to get a picture out of HDMI.

If I have my TV running and shut it off, leaving the receiver on, I have a black screen when I turn my TV back on. Seem like it's an HDMI synchronization type issue. I have reported it to Bell Tech support.
