Hi there,
I've been pondering this idea of having the DHC members of the Fredericton area (or the whole province) to meet up some night for coffee or something. I'm just curious to see if anyone else would be interested in meeting who's who of these forums and talk about the latest changes as far as cable goes for NB. If you are interested or not, please let me know in this thread. Timings and dates that would suit you best can be discussed as well. Like I said, it's a crazy idea of mine... EDIT I'm thinking that this upcoming Saturday (15th October) or the Saturday in 2 weeks (29th October) that we should meet. The location would be Tim Hortons down at the Exhibition Grounds (less traffic for a weekend) at 1:00 pm. Is this a good time for this weekend or is it better for the 29th? Let me know ASAP.

Sounds like a great idea, but if you do meet, don't forget the DHC cheer

It's still too early but 8 hours later, only 2 replies...and none of them from NB...
I might end up doing the DHC cheer alone.... boohoohoo

Rpokane,
How about if you know well in advance, couldn't you do the 55 minute drive to the capital city? I hear its very nice at this time of the year... What if we meet next week, wednesday the 21st? Would that be okay for everybody? We could meet at either a place like Mikes restaurant or Keystones or Tim Hortons . I'll go with the general popular vote.

Or, we could use Rogers' network and have a video conference |

Now that I have woke up and seen the sticky...
I'm in too. I have a busy schedule most days, but would like to do this. Perhaps the big Timmies on Prospect? |

We'll have to set a date that everybody agrees to. I'd like the out-of-towners to be there also but the majority will speak for the choice of time and place. Timmies on Prospect sound good to me.
I'm available Thursday and Friday this week.

For me, between 5:30pm and 6:00pm are best on Tues-Fri, which is right after woork for me. I have a little one that has to be down by 7pm and my wife works Tues to Sat. and is rarely home before 7pm.
I am not sure what you all may think of this but I am home all day most Saturdays as my wife works. I have quite a large house and a pretty decent coffee maker and my son is pretty self sufficient in the house so he doesn't need me right beside him the whole time. Or any time at all if I keep the Scooby-Doo going on the projector I know that most people like the idea of a public meeting place for the first meetings between people that have only spoken by internet, but I think that where it would most likely be more than just two people in total, it would reduce any social awkwardness to be all piling up at someones house that no one knows. Let me know, all. If this is an acceptable offer, I will PM interested parties with my address and driving directions. |
