^ They can only go on with this "I have a million cool ideas about how to break out of prision" for so long. I mean 100 episodes later it becomes pretty boring. So I would say that they have to get out this season. A future season may be how they cope on the outside being fugatives from justice.

It was originally planned as a mini-series.

Default I've Seen This Movie Before!

I can't believe they had the lights dimming on and off when they were testing the electric chair! The producers are perpetuating one of the biggest myths used in prison movies i.e. that the prison power supply is affected when testing the chair! The electric chair used in executions had its own D.C. power supply while the rest of the prison used regular A.C. current.
I recall several prison movies made during the 1950's where a couple would be dancing to a phonograph record and the music would slow down and the lights would dim on and off several times and the man would tell his partner that they must be testing the chair at Sing Sing.
When questioned about this, the warden of Ossining State Prison (Sing Sing) stated several times to the press that this was an invention of Hollywood and never, ever happened!

I have a feeling that Lincoln dies next week in the chair and they go ahead with the escape themselves... either that or they fail to electrocute him in the chair and his execution is stayed until it can be investigated which gives Schofield a chance to get him out. At this point I can't see his execution being delayed especially since they are already showing preview pictures of him in the chair with the helmet on, etc

No, I don't think so. They wil probably use that time-worn cliche of the last second reprieve from the Govenor just as they are going to throw the switch!
I'm waiting for that other often used device that all prison movies used in the past: the cons banging their little tin cups on the the cell bars to show their frustration and anger when a prisoner is going to be "fried." (not my choice of word.)
Incidentally, it's not the voltage that kills you, it's the high amperage.

Season 1 - They Break out of Prision
Season 2 and Beyond - The Fugitive

My guess is they break out, spread out and that is where the show goes.

Perhaps the "dead" victim will show up. Otherwise, I can't see him being saved by the chair.

I liked last nights show. Although we didn't have FOXHD eastern feed last night, I had to PVR it from the west feed. If I had missed it, I would've been torqued....but this is for a different thread.

The thrill is at the same level as where it left off over a month and a half ago. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I just hope they don't try to squeeze the freshness out of it. It's a successful series and it should end when it's on top, not in a slump.

I thought it was a great episode. I thought they would stretch it out more. For example the rat in the fuse box could have been its own episode. Very glad they moved it along.

I am positive he will not die in the chair. The whole point of the show is that he did not actually kill the VP's brother so if he did get executed it would would also kill the show.

I like the show so far but IMHO the next episode or two are gonna be a “make it or break it” thing for many viewers.

One of two possible scenarios is that Lincoln’s remains in prison and his execution keeps being delayed while Michael escapes and tries to “vindicate” him from the outside with all the probable confrontations. I consider this the most likely.

Another scenario is that they all escape but that is not likely as I think they will want to have a certain amount of story line still taking place within and with the characters in the prison as that forms a big part of the plot. They could all escape and Lincoln is re-captured in a short time but that might be unnecessarily complicated.

Lots of options……hope they pick good ones.

After thinking about the options I'm convinced that he won't die.

The only thing that can save him is proving the dead guy isn't really dead which requires digging up the body or the dead guy showing up in court.

I think you are right on the money. That's also my current take on it.

i think his brother planted something else to make the chair fail.

the way they were showing the govenor he may put a stop to it as well.

The Govenor was with the VP when he phoned the jail. Did I miss something?
