I'll be getting the system completed with each successive paycheck....so look for pics and my impressions starting in about 2-3 weeks. I can't wait for good sound to go with a good receiver, good tv and passable DVD.
Edit: the 702 has 100W per channel....and if it's good enough for THX certification, I know it will be more than enough power to shake the house.

Rears are in and installed. Everything sounds smooth. Klipsch RS-25.
The tweeters being placed at 90° sure opens the soundstage. Very impressed in the few movies I've previewed with them in place. I would really like to get 2 more and create the 7.1 system, but I need to pay for school I'll get pics up sometime this weekend. Right now I'm really happy

I'm glad to see there are others out there who like the Klipsch sound.
I've been using Klipsch for centre, surround and sub for quite some time. I have big StudioLabs for front. I use stereo for anything music. My old Pioneer Elite I bought about one day before Dolby digital was introduced. It's 120x4 for surround but does 160x2 in stereo. I haven't seen any new receivers set up that way. I'm looking to go 7.1 and I’d like to stick with Klipsch if I can afford it. My living room is pretty small so I’d have to mount side surrounds on the wall. Who sells Klipsch these days? |

London Drugs sells them. It's not where I got mine, but they do sell them. You can check out some of what they carry and will ship on their site.

I bought mine at (a local to me) London Drugs. Klipsch provides a "dealer list" via their website, which might help you:
www.klipsch.com/locator/index.aspx And if interested, there's lots of user hands-on info via their 'forum'. |

I was reading the forum, and saw some complaints about the surrounds. I love them. They do what they are suppossed to, send the sound around the room, rather than at the listener. People are weird.

Klipsch updated their line at CES. On tap is a rework of the reference series. I am particularly impressed with the surround speakers, which now feature dual horns and woofers. I may be changing my surrounds now...if I could afford to!
Complete specs can be found on the Klipsch website.

Over the boxing day sales I was inclined to start looking for a new sub.
I found that Klipsch sub are weak when compared to almost anything. I bought a 10" and took it home, it sounded ok, played with setting, crossovers etc....and nothing ever seemed to really help. Knowing that Klipsch has a well backed brand name I returned it for a new one, and also had the luxury of taking home the demo as to play with a broken in sub. Nothing changed, if anything got work. The Excursion level of their subs is terrible, they get over loaded far to quickly and you end up with woofer noise, not decent sound quality. From there I moved on to a Velodyne and Energy To make a long story short I ended up with the Energy S10.3, and couldn't be happier. Everything that I ever wanted plus more, I don't think that I mentioned I had a Mission 10" that just blew before, but this Energy blows it completely out of the water. In my honest opinion, Klipsch makes a great bookshelf and thats it |
