There are a number of sources for residential towers in Ontario. The Source (formerly "Radio Shack"), Save & Replay Mississauga, Wade Delhi towers.
Typically you simply need to visit a dealer/location, order your tower, and they'll get one in shortly thereafter for pickup.

I have managed to find a CM-7001 atsc tuner for $109.99 at Angel Electronics in Missisauga. This is the cheapest price I have found. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any stores around Buffalo or Erie that would sell for the same price or cheaper?? Or if there are any stores around the GTA that would have a cheaper price??

You mention Angel Electronics.
Please note that I purchased some antenna installation items in excess of minimum expected need with the understanding they could be returned for a full refund if unopened with the sales slip... no other conditions were told to me even though I specifically asked if there were any. After about 2 months or so, I contacted them and was told "TOUGH LUCK... TOO LATE." Ben

Try compunation.com. Their store is on Merivale. I think they're still in business.

I'm looking for the CM7778 Pre-amp & Winegard YA1713 either locally in the GTA or in Buffalo (as I am going there this week) or on-line in Canada for the best price. The best price I found locally are $69.99 each, but also found from solidsignal.com in MI for $54.99 and $37.99 respectively. Also, not so sure how great save and replay's prices are as they sell the DB4-E for $99.99 and i got it from computervalley.ca for $43.99 (found it on shopbot.ca).

It's hard to beat SS's prices. I have ordered from them twice, and they have outstanding customer service and low-cost freight. My last order was delivered in two days (to Ottawa).

Anybody know someone that can trouble shoot an existing setup in Markham? I have an ongoing problem that is getting worse and it has me stumped. Before I start randomly changing equipment I would like someone more experienced than I to check things and see if they can determine the problem. yaamon if you are still out there send me a private message and we can set something up as you did the initial install about 6 years ago.

A little late to your inquiry, but this information may help someone else. They did an ok job on the install, and their quoted prices are inline with everyone else for a typical install. But once they are on the roof, they really try hard to up-sell you on some small stuff (like $120 for a preamp that you can get at walmart for $12.99, or charging an extra $85 for grounding the antenna. They also have a maximum 57km/h wind warranty stated right on the invoice, so the first spring wind gust and your on your own.. regardless if they just installed it a week before! Not sure if thats the norm, but it was a surprise to me! |

What brand of pre-amp were they trying to sell (I wasn't aware that Walmart sold pre-amps). I agree that $120 seems steep, but I wouldn't use a $12.99 one either.

Buyer beware! Make sure you get in writing what is included before you agree to the install.
