I bought mine through Ebay, from seller "antennalogic", who is out of Minnesota. The price was about $52 USD, and shipping to Canada by post was quite reasonably priced.

Try Nutec on Parkdale in Hamilton. I bought one there last week. It was $89 plus tax. They had quite a few in stock.

Googled it and found these:
http://www.xtek.ca/channel-master-cm...-su-p-322.html

http://sunnydirect.ca/channel-master...ly-cm7777.html

This sunny place is in Hamilton according to this, $10 less on the ad http://hamilton.**********/c-buy-and...AdIdZ252862146

Good luck.

I was going to ask about sunnydirect, anyone deal with them?

They're P.O. is 15min away from me, but they don't have a store front.
Weird, they're kijiji prices are $10 less than their website.

I put a preamp in the cart and shipping was $11.95.

My install guy never came back, and after the heavy rain on saturday afternoon I lost all my channels.

Can anyone recommend someone who can come and move my tripod higher towards the roof peak and re-aim the antenna for a reasonable price?

I would still contact The Source anyways just in case they still have some in stock.

I noticed the same issue with The Source. Seems like they've changed suppliers to Channel Master instead. I contacted a local store, and they weren't able to find the antenna on their system. I might try going into the store and asking to see their catalogue--if I can find it in there, perhaps they could do a proper search by product #.

thanks for the reply's guys, let me know if you come up with anything... funny thing is i was in the source about a month ago and mentioned to one of the sales clerks about outdoor antenna's and if they had any... the guy looked at me funny and told me they had not carried those for like 20 years or so, i just smerked and said okay thanks... they don't even know what they sell... well i guess they only know cell phones... does anyone else carry Antennacraft product that you know? i was thinking of calling the local antenna guys see if any of them carry it.

Radioworld may be a dealer but their in-store OTA offering is pretty limited. They may be able to order something for you, however.

I install antennas, but tripods are usually a lot of work, going into the attic to install supports to bolt onto.
Is it a real tripod with a mast pipe, or is it a tri-mast, like a pipe with 2 support legs?
What do you mean by a reasonable price? Basic install is 250, 50 more for a tripod install.
Do-it-youself people may think thats expensive, other people think we work too cheap and give us a tip for doing a good job.
I have somebody else waiting for a service call next time we get out to Milton.
And, we've done about 6 installs in milton, all worked good.

Wintronics has the best prices for parts in my area and will pricematch.
(thanks goforit)

TomF1, I installed this 2y ago. When I changed my preamp about a week ago, I noticed rust at the joints (2nd pic) and wondering if I should replace them somehow with bolts, or maybe it's surfaced rust, I hope. I'm going up there again in a few days.

Recently installed a tripod, the client asked me to make sure its extra solid. I drilled 1/4" holes thru the angle brakets and bottom of the legs and put in bolts. The rivets are the weak spots.
Painting with a rust inhibiting paint would help, I like the paint job you did on the angle brackets. Maybe some rustproffing would work, they sell Rustcheck spray at CanTire.
I don't know how long a tripod should last. Theres a few Look TV antennas in my neighbourhood, 10 years old, that still look good. The oldest i've ever seen was about 15 years old and still solid. The bolts were too rusty to re-use, but we just put a new antenna on the same pipe.

Default what to purchase and who installs

I am interested in installing an OTA antenna. I know absolutely NOTHING about what the best configuration of equipment is or who to hire to install-can anyone shed some light on what my options are? Recommended installers I usually rely on "Teenager" to figure these things out! Thanks so much Cynthia
