Default Problems with some digital channels

Unable to receive 81 WOKR 82 WHEC 83 WROC. Channels are just pixilated on the television screen. All my other digital channels are very clear. Was wondering if other people in this forum has had this problem.

Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000
Tuner 723000MHz 10dBmV on the three channels

I have tried unplugging the box with no results. I have had the box about three months with no problems untill now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

Where are you? I'm out in Mississauga, and don't get channels 81 -83. So, if they were pixilated, that would be more than normal.

I'm in Rogers Toronto and I don't get these channels either. These are Rochester channels? - I believe I remember them from the old days of living in Peterborough 30 years ago or so. Ah, perhaps Oshawa gets Rochester instead of Buffalo since it's closer.

Actually I belive they get both! Although there is no benefit to that.
What say you Watcher?

Doesn't sound like it would be a box problem by what your describing.

That's interesting - I'm in Ajax, and don't get those channels. I would have thought we'd be on the same head-end...

Oshawa and Whitby get WOKR,WHEC and WROC. They are grandfathered in and were bumped to digital a couple of years ago. They get both Buffalo and Rochester in those areas. If they are pixelating I would get on the phone and call Rogers. Maybe its a local problem in your area and they are not aware of it yet.

Beerme, can you get WNGS 67 on Adelphia. I've heard they plan to go full power 5 Megawatts in the fall sometime which should then make them receivable in the Toronto area.

Yes I can. But honestly I don't think I have watched more than two or three hours worth of programming from them.
But if they were full time HD they would probably be my favourite station

I get both Rochester and Buffalo stations. WROC 8, WHEC 10, and WOKR 13 are all Rochester stations. I do not pay extra for the three channals. The channels are on analogue with different call letters, all the same shows. Here is the channel line up for Ontario digital channels. Channels may very according to location

I made an appointment for technician to come over today; But when I checked out the channels early this morning they were clear, so I cancelled the appointment .
