I guess I feel fortunate with my 3200. It has worked flawlessly for the last couple of months - did freeze a few times before that which required a hard reboot (power off). Whatever the last software update was for it seems to have settled down my unit.

The 3200 is nothing but problems. I am now on my 3'rd 3200(under warranty) from Bev which was sent out recently to correct lost audio on ch 524 on both tuners.

AH.
That was an old post of mine, before the v104 update. The 3200 is working much better now, but it is still not perfect. So, the Dish Pro Quad had nothing to do with it.

I find with the 3200, that if it loses power and then reboots it may lock up once or twice within the next couple of days, then it's okay again. I have learned to reset it with the power button when this happens, that way you don't unplug it and start the cycle all over again.

Hey I'm kinda new to the forum thing, mostly because i've never had difficulties with my BEV hardware before, up until now. Here's my situation:

I recently moved from an apartment that had attached to it a single double LNBF dish. I had two RG6 wires coming into the 3200 receiver it worked flawlessly.

At my new house i'm using a different dish but still the same type of LNBF with two RG6 wires leading to the 3200 receiver. The receiver has now decided not to recognize a signal by simply plugging both wires into the receiver.

It only recognizes a signal if, (this really blows me away), on one cable i add a cheap 1GHz 2-way splitter and have a 2 foot piece attached to input one or two doesn't matter, and the second wire attached to the open input.

The signal is great for both Inputs, however, only the odd transponders work for the split wire, but they all work for the other inout that hasn't been split. I have no wires coming off of the second open split. If i split one wire and use both outputs and attach to both inputs it still won't work.

Does anyone have any suggestions, i'm tapped out, it seems too bizarre for me. In fact if i attach one of the single wires directly to a 3100 without a split it won't recognize a signal, but split it once and the signal will work.

JEYMAN, Have you run the check switch on the 3200 after installing the two RG6 cables at your new house? This may need to be done on the 3100 as well for the receiver to recognize the type of LNB. If this still doesn't correct the problem, then the LNB may be defective. If you have the old LNB from your apartment, try replacing it.

Default I thought I was the only one.

]I bought a new 3200 before Christmas, I thought it would be great for watching and recording at the same time. Installed it in my entertainment unit and the first time it failed I FELT STUPID when Expressvu people started to tell me to disconnect cables they were on the phone, I was on my back I pulled everything apart, I have to admit they were very pleasant and helpfull. That was the first time, I have now called them many times,I have asked is my 3200 broken, "no sir you just lost your programing" I now have my 3200 in a bedroom where I can reach my cables and can reset it without instruction.
Then I found this forum, I am so surprised that so many people can have the same problem and Expressvu THINKS I was the only one that lost their programing.
I have read all the replies to this thread, and if I am not out of line would it be possible to hear, all the fixes we might have, and all the excuses you have had from Expressvu, and any satisfaction you have gotten from Expressvu,
and even what might be down the road for 3200 owners.
Thank You All

Just got off the phone with BEV tech support (again) they said the current software in the stream is v107 ??? I asked if he was sure he said "OH yes it's definately 107" tried to update, but no success, the current software (see current software in the stream is v104 which I have. Anyone have a different version? I asked about AHD1 but he was unaware of it, but said that there is a new firmware coming out at the end of the month, looking back, I should have asked which month

There is new firmware coming soon for this unit. Firmware versions Axxx are internal betas before they are released to the public.

Default Freezing, resetting etc etc etc.

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. In the last few days both of my 3200's keep freezing and reseting. Last night both of them got the downloading important info screen which took at least 5 minutes to go away. Both are on seperate dishes, so it can't be a dish issue. The guide seems slow now and lots of "no info available".
Does anyone know if this is a general Bell thing or is something going on with the 3200's?

I've noticed this too.

Its slow responding to the remote commands and last night it would not power on.

My unit has been sick again for the last couple of days, anyway this morning it seems to be well after taking the v107 pill.

I sure hope that it was the right medicine!

Details! Anything new work? like call display or interactive TV? all mine has been doing is locking up, still on 104, I guess 107 is a hard pill to swallow.

Default Worst

Mine is getting worst.

It wont power on by remote, reset it 2 times so far. I wonder if its trying to download the update and hanging.

Anyone else manage to get the update.

Receiver was working fine for months with V103. V104 downloaded a few days ago and I now have the problem with the remote and having to reset the receiver every morning to get it to work. Just got off the phone with BEV and went through their procedure to set up my box to receive the V107 update. Supposedly will have the update downloaded in 30 minutes. I'm expecting to have to call them back because it didn't work.

I had to call 3 times, finally spoke to level 2 tech supoort, they sent the update, seems to be working fine, got all my channels back, hasn't locked, and it's been over 12 hours. Call display now works, interactive TV does something, but I'm not subscribed so I don't know if it is working properly. It still won't tell my vcr to record, even though it's the right code (works on the remote just not from the receiver).
I hope this firmware will be more stable, the guide download seems a little quirky, but it may not have updated since I didn't turn the unit off, I'll double check my update time.

to ldmrp,
what is their procedure to set up the box to take updates

I thought it was to turn off TV1 and TV2 using remote, then wait
I do have guide updates set to download also, but I'm not aware of a screen to allow firmware updates specifically
