Channels on Free Preview? - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Every once and awhile I stumble on a channel that is on a "free preview". Normally by the time I notice it the month is almost over giving me only a few days of the preview.

What is the best way to get a list of free channels on preview each month? Does Cogeco list them on their site?

It seems to be they always have one or two channels each month.

If Cogeco doesn't have a list, perhaps consider looking at another provider's website like Rogers, which has a list, since the free preview channels are often free on all providers. Check out the Rogers Free Preview thread here at DH too.

if you go to their web page under the whats new section they announce all the Freeview for the month http://www.cogeco.ca/web/on/en/residential/tv/

Thanks to temporary free programming until Jan 31, 2013 I discovered eqhd, hifi, oasis and have been totally "wow'd". I will definitely be signing up for this package later this month. Out of curiosity I googled what the eq in eqhd stands for but found ziltch. Anyone know? There seems to be a lot of sound dropouts on eqhd, other than that I am very pleased with the diversity of programs.

And NO COMMERCIALS !

According to Cogeco's website, W Movies and Sundance are on freeview until 31 Jan. Animal Planet was on freeview in December, but is now showing "Not Authorized".

It would be really nice if Cogeco would let subscribers know of these freebies and any new channels added, whether by e-mail, snail mail or via the STB.

The free previews are listed on Cogeco's website. They are under the links "Television" and "What's New?" W Movies and Sundance are on freeview until Jan. 31. Letting us know about freeviews through the receivers would be more convenient than having to search it out on the website.

Travel + Escape and H2 are on preview on most providers - you can also check Fight Network.

Does any one know when the following channels end their freeview?? TSN2, ComedyGold, BET, and NFL Network?? There is no information on the Cogeco website, their Facebook, or Twitter pages.
