Default Upgrade PVR?

Is it possible to get Bell to change my PVR and other receivers for the newer, faster models? Or am I stuck with the models that were originally installed?

All answer as best I can, since for satellite I am not sure if this applies to fibe as well, if they are originally purchased and you own them now, then at this point you are stuck with them, perhaps you could sell them to fund your new purchase? If on the other hand they are rentals and you are on a contract, you can extend that contract I believe and they may offer you one or two free receivers. Another way is if you where coming close to your end of contract and wanted to renew then you could take a new contract where they would offer you some new receivers as well. Hopefully that helps a bit.

Was just through this myself, they won't swap them at all unless there's something wrong with them.
As in, if they're on rental, you're pretty much stuck with them unless you manage to get a tech over that agrees to give you another one.

I went through this while dealing with an issue on my Cellpipe, they wouldn't swap the PVR whatsoever. Finally got a service call booked to swap the Cellpipe for a Sagemcom, while the tech was here, I asked if it made sense to swap the PVR at this point because of "other issues I was having". He agreed and swapped the PVR. My other terminal is now having issues with dropped connection from time to time, but it's nothing tuning the channel up and down won't fix.

Interesting. Thanks for the information. Other than speed, is there any other benefit to the newer models? The software is slightly updated, but is that update coming to the older boxes, and what are the changes?
