Rogers Cisco PVR at Costco (Atlantic Canada) - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I was at Costco today and noticed they had rogers PVRs for sale, but the unit on display was a Cisco unit, Has rogers started using Cisco stbs in Atlantic Canada? or is this a Major goof on costco/rogers part?

Rogers/Cisco (8642) is used in Ontario only. No idea why they would have them at your local Costco. Sounds like a Costco goof. Hope they don't sell any... You may wish to call the store manager to advise?

that was exactly my fear, that someone would buy one and not be able to get it working

The PVR on display is a Cisco but the boxes contain the Motorola PVR.

I was at Costco last night and they now have the Motorola box on display.

Since some people have been confused by this, I've added "Atlantic Canada" to the thread title, even though this thread is clearly in that forum.
