Is this a good ac unit? I have never heard of it. PA 13N 018
It is R4-10 or Puron as they call it. 13 Seer 1.5 Ton |

I call them builder grade. Made by Carrier. I installed one last week nothing negative to report. They live in stacked town homes so there are condensers on every deck. Sound quality was not a real need for his application. Even though it was not rated supper quite it ran fairly quite.
The other thing about that unit was the physical size was small vs some other 410 systems out there.

There are two things which are good to have in a condenser unit (outdoor part of the a/c...
1. A sound blanket on the compressor 2. High and low pressure switches to shut the system off and prevent compressor damage (refrigerant leak, fan motor failure) Payne 13 seer units probably don't have pressure switches.
