So the wife and a few friends are attempting to make it to Vegas to take in Neil Diamonds final show of his tour on Sept 1. They've booked the hotel already but have neglected to get the tickets. So now at this relatively late stage I've began a cursory search for tickets (yikes, hello nosebleeds). Up to this point I've only purchased tickets for local events through ticketmaster. Does anyone have other ideas or websites that are reliable. I'm aware of Stubhub, but have never used them. I don't have much faith in craigslist type ads due to security concerns. A lot of these say that tickets will be shipped by Aug. 28 which means they could be down there (they are going a couple of days early) and the tickets could be in transit---or do these ship by dates mean you will have them in hand well beforehand.

Have them try one of those Tickets for Less places that are all over the strip. They offer last minute tickets to show. Usually they are for the same day you.

Not sure about concert/show tickets but I have used Stubhub to buy NHL hockey tickets for games all over the US without a hitch. I always got what I paid for and the tickets were usually delivered to me within 48 hours.

Stubhub is the way to go. Excellent service. Pricey? You bet. You get what you pay for. If you really want to go, sometimes paying for great seats makes for a memorable event. They are my choice without a doubt.

I've used Stubhub for seven NFL games so far and never had an issue. That said, you can try to see if the concierge at your hotel can get you better seats than publicly available

"tix4tonight" is the place I think you are referencing (OP can google it, they are online) which is good for long-run shows in Vegas like cirques and blue man group. It's great if you don't mind taking chances on what they may happen to have unsold and available the day of your visit (not sure I'd take a chance on Neil Diamond though as this is only a "single" show). You also have to line up early to get the pick of the crop. There are kiosks all over the strip, you can't miss them as folks start lining up as early as 8am.

Got a little worried about having no tickets so ended up purchasing through ticketmaster for nosebleeds and nosebleed (ie cheap) prices. I told my wife that when they get there to check out the ticket availability on the strip and if need be just sell theirs and upgrade.
