Default How to backup HD-PVR recording?

I have my 8300HD PVR for years, and Rogers is sending a technician to replace it with the new NEXT HDPVR this week.

I just recalled that I have recorded some episodes, where my child was on Kid Canada in CBC 2 years ago. Is there a way to backup my recording before it is taken away?

Thanks!

You can use the "Copy to VCR" feature (select a recording, then scroll down until you see the feature), but the HD recordings will be downconverted to SD. Also see the following FAQs:

I'm pretty sure that the SA8300HD does not. Not on S-video either.
