Game one and game three of the Capitals-Bruins series will be on CHEX Peterborough. This is due to the Senators-Rangers games being televised on the CBC at the same time.

Hopefully, the TV providers will show the game on one of their channels for providers that don't have the channel.

Every other year Shaw would show the CHEX games.

Rogers does not carry CHEX outside the GTA, and has not freed up an alternate channel for it in the past.

I guarantee more people out here care about the Bruins-Caps series than the Senators. If this isn't rectified by Thursday, there will be hell to pay.

I pay $30 for the SSP to get 82 Caps games a year, and now I can't watch the playoffs? Ridiculous.

Ugh my worse fears come playoff time every year, CBC gets the rights to my team's games. Now I can't watch 2 of them in HD. Might as well watch online in glorious CBC blur-o-vision streaming like those without a CHEX feed will have to do as I'm sure the quality will seem to be about the same.

I'm sure it will get better and I will find out waaaay past his prime Bob Cole is going to attempt to call 10% of the game correctly and Millen will be there too offering us his useless comments/insight.

Do the right thing CBC/NHL and trade the rights for those 2 nights to TSN since TSN2 only has curling repeats scheduled or find a way to ensure every provider in the country gets these games on an alternate channel in both SD/HD for us hockey fans.

I know, I know, I should be thankful the game is even on CHEX as it wasn't that long ago when not all games were televised. It's just that after watching NESN HD on Center Ice for the majority of the regular season games, the playoffs come along and now my viewing experience gets worse and for some people not even an option!! Really NHL this is acceptable?? Joy, can't wait, soooo excited for the playoffs.

Bob Cole is doing the Senators series. Personally, I still think he's one of the best and I'm not complaining. Dean Brown and Greg Millen are doing Caps-Bruins. 3 games (if it goes 6) will probably end up on NBC.

I think that a trade of game 3s, FLA-NJ on Sunday to CBC and BOS-WSH on Monday to TSN, would make sense. That would give CBC a Sunday night doubleheader, instead of filler in Eastern primetime and then a late Canucks game. Would give them a good lead-in. It would also give TSN a doubleheader on Monday.

Having said that, it probably won't happen. Last year CBC aired one TB-PIT on CHEX only. TSN2 wasn't showing anything that night, I don't think.

My question is why CBC does not arrange with NHL to have Ottawa and Vancouver games as double-header? This way Boston and Ottawa games on CBC will be on alternating nights.

I think Bell is the only one that carries CHEX outside its market. Am I wrong?

So they can have at least one highly rated game each night. Not to mention the schedule conflicts at Staples Center which made the VAN-LA series hard to schedule.

Shaw Direct carries CHEX to all of Canada as well.

Hi, just wondering if someone could answer my question.

I live in Toronto and have Rogers Cable. I want to watch Caps/Bruins series. I've browsed several websites but still have doubt if I will be able to watch this series. I've looked on the Rogers cable lineup and I don't see any CHEX PETERBOROUGH. Closest I have is CHEX TV DURHAM (Oshawa).

I can only assume the main CBC channel (6) will be Rangers/Sens, so will I be able to watch Bruins??

Thanks.

Which Rogers doesn't carry either.

Weird that Rogers have RDS, RDS INFO, TVA Sports but no RDS2.

One reason is if an Ottawa game were to go into overtime, they would have to preempt the Vancouver game in most of the country and if it is a long overtime, do you cut over to the 3rd period of the Vancouver game? They would never preempt a game with a Canadian team to show overtime in a game with only American teams though.

Besides, the Detroit/Nashville series also conflicts with the eastern games, so they would have to do a 3 day rotation (or afternoon games) to avoid conflicts. What would make sense would be for the CBC to be allowed to take half of two different serieses to avoid conflicts.
