I think Starchoice(ShawDirect) will also change their footprint but much later.
This will only make Bell customers opt for grey market providers like Dishnet or Directv. Though they do not have canadian content they will be able to move around their receivers south for the Winter. I understand how the snowbirds feel. But this is a Canadian company providing service in Canada. And as such they should be providing the srongest signal possible in Canada. Heck they raise prices like crazy when they want to so we deserve a better signal and not something diluted that covers territory where most of their paying customers are not. Just my honest opinion. |

rogue if you mean those people will use Dish or Direct TV rcvrs in Canada as well as in their snowbird homes that is not "grey market" that is illegal in Canada. Its too bad that's true even when people are paying and not pirating but that's the law in Canada. We dont have a law like that in the US.

Going like crazy. Now at 111.7.........should be in the right location in a day or two. One could surmise that testing has been sucessfull.

I would think once it is in place you will see them turn on each transponder one by one over a couple days.

Now @ 109 area, may be it wasn't the Venus Transit, it was the Nimiq 6 Transit we all saw!

Out of curiosity what was the suspected time for it to move into its intended position? To me it seems to be going pretty well in terms of having the bird operational very soon (Of course after testing is complete)

A Bell Tech told me the new Nimiq 6 will be operational sometime in the first two weeks of July.
