That is good! Given the Gorilla glass used, it may even be more realistic than most people realize.

Treating this as if it were a serious discussion - my girlfriend is building a folder of recipes. Actually, then ended up with three folders, two on her PC and one on the file server.

I put everything into one folder on the server, then created a Bookmark to that folder on my tablet. Added Adobe and Open Document readers to my tablet. Now, she can use the tablet in the kitchen rather than printing the recipe.

Not very innovative, but it fixes a situation for her that was bugging her.

The tablet is a 7" $69 special that works, but lacks most of the features of "real" tablets. Resolution is only 800x480 - top end 7" tables run 1024x600, and you can see the difference.

The screen is resistive, so it works best with a sharpish object, just like a PDA. No multitouch, no bluetooth, and the Wifi is only up to g. It will play mkv files at 720p just fine, if they are local - I have not figured out how to play them from the fileserver. This may be a shortcoming of the file manager I installed, since it gives me only the options of using Opera or the photo viewer when I click on an mkv file.

Battery life is nothing great.

However, at $69 plus taxes and shopping (around $90 total), it was worth trying. It is doing what I hoped for - not as nicely as a new iPad 3, but it works well.
