Are you running as an Admin?
EDIT: Found this at another forum Answer: 1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. Click "Hardware and Sound" in Control Panel Home then click Personalization. Alternately, in the Classic View of Control Panel, click Personalization. 3. Click Display Settings. 4. Select a resolution that is higher than 1024 x 640 and is supported by the display by adjusting the slider. 5. Click OK. 6. Your screen may flash briefly and you may see a message asking you to confirm the settings. Click Yes if the image on screen looks normal. Note: If the screen looks dark or distorted, wait 15 seconds for the screen to revert to it's previous state. Last edited by DSgamby; 2012-03-14 at 12:56 PM. Reason: Found info on the problem.
