This LTE is pretty damn impressive. I know I'm not in any of the core areas but I've seen as high as 32mbps middle of the day in Vaughan. The WiFi at my work runs at half that tops.

Are you using Bell? When you on LTE does the iPad say it or does it still say 3G?

Now, this is based on my own testing, and it could vary depending on different areas, but my Bell 3G speeds are faster than Rogers LTE. To compare, a 4 bar "3G" speed on my iPad returned roughly 10mbps down, whereas I got that from a 1 bar Rogers LTE. This is in Vaughan, curious how it would be in other regions. Clearly if you look at the coverage maps, as listed before, the Bell one appears to be more honest (looks like Swiss cheese) whereas the Rogers maps shows a big blob to well north of where I live but those speeds are not attainable. And of course, this is the present state. As time moves on and they continue to upgrade, it should improve for both networks. But for now, if you are a Vaughan resident, you're better off with Bell LTE |
