Yes, Rogers employees have bulletins that say the rollout has officially been delayed. No reason is given for this, of course. What this means is that existing customers who have cisco equipment and have not received the update will not get it until the rollout resumes. In addition, no one can sign up for Whole Home PVR until the rollout resumes. However, new customers who are issued Cisco equipment will get the new UI, and existing customers who swap their old SA equipment for Cisco equipment will get the new UI. Customers who already have the new UI will continue to receive software updates when the become available, even though the rollout is delayed.

I picked up a new 320GB 8642 HD PVR last week for rental from Rogers Plus which they said they just received that day, but it still has the old IPG. My 4642 has been updated a couple of weeks ago.

It would depends on where the Cisco Terminals come from, and or whether they had been sitting in a warehouse for a awhile or not, I highly doubt they are going to open and test each new unit to confirm it has the new Firmware. I would suppose that returned 8642's get checked and upgraded and then re-boxed. Just depends on what you grab

I got the newest update a few nights ago, maybe longer, when the other poster said he got it, i did. I have not really tinkered around with it, as its the bedroom tv, and I have been sleeping alot more this past week.

For me, it still seems the same, but tomorrow, I will really test it out and see. The reboot seems faster, but note, I said seems, doesn't mean it is. We all know bad perception from fact is.

Question

Still haven't gotton the update yet. I wonder if I every will

I do know I had some issue with the 8649 on Friday SDV issue, had strong signal and everything, I caled they said to reboot it did fix SDV issue but the CSR said she wasn't getting a TWO WAY signal, not sure if that had anything to dowith me not getting the update. If I haven't gotton it by the end of FEB 29 I'll go inexchange it for another 8649, I'll just it keeps rebooting.

I know I said in a prevus post I didn't care but this is driveing me crazy!! I'd trade with anyone(who has the updated)at this point just to see for myself whats its like.

COME ON ROGERS YOUR DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

Don't know maybe I'm coming to obessed with this updated!!

I am not sure if some people on here cannot read, or just choose to ignore statements made.

The roll out is delayed until further notice. Please stop posting on here that you haven't got it. We know! Oh, and stop calling Rogers asking when you will get it. I would rather them devote their time to those of us who have it, and have issues that need to be fixed before the deploy it to the rest of you who don't have it.

You will get it when you get it

Sorry, end rant.

There's no official statement that they've stopped rolling it out. And sorry, but "a rep told me" is not official. I've worked in a telecom support center before, and there are as many rumors inside as there is out.

There were earlier reports it was delayed too, and several people still received the update afterwards. We don't know anything for sure.

Holmes: The website, the official one, went from the release date to coming soon. That should be official enough for you.

Anyone else finding the guide buggy? Sometimes it is showing incorrect program information, yet, if I clear out of the guide, go back in, it is correct information for that specific channel. Had it happen a few times. At first I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks. Thinking I was on one channel with a program I thought I was looking at, but really was on another. However, several times now, I doubt its my mind playing tricks.

Could equally just mean they are running behind.

If you're running behind, you're delayed.

That's different than "not currently updating anyone"...

lol....ok. I just happen to be the last person who posted to this thread, Feb 02, of actually receiving the new IPG firmware. 17 days have past, not one other person has reported getting the new firmware upgrade from the old IPG to the new one. Only those of us that have it seem to be getting new firmware updates to fix the issues at hand.
